1 moPretty much by definition billionaires have become billionaires by tipping the scales in their favor unfairly. It's not illegal in many cases because wealthy people band together to buy politicians and judges. Politicians pass laws that unfairly benefit the billionaires who paid for their election campaign. Judges uphold the unfair laws that the politicians pass. And a huge portion of the population is denied a level playing field on which to compete in the economy.
So yeah, billionaires essentially stole their wealth. They are sociopaths willing to lie cheat and steal for wealth they can't even use. They are parasites on society. So they are fair game for anything.

1 moI think it would be fantastic if someone could figure out how to electronically find a way to wiggle into all the financial accounts of the billionaires and steal everything that way using all the funds to better the lives of those they fucked out of money either directly or indirectly.
As bad as it sounds I chuckle when a person of gianatic wealth is murdered such as that CEO of health insurance company who through his greed normal people died because of his decision not to let insurance cover a medical solution to preserve a person's life. It's even better when it is a loved family member of that executive who is the target leaving the greedy creep to live with the pain of his own making.

1 moNo, Billionaires earned their money. Now I would consider stealing it from government agencies or government employees. They stole the money first, so they have no right to any of their money anyway.

1.9K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Why would I steal money from anyone?
And if you imagine billionaires having rooms full of Scrooge McDuck gold, you don't know much about billionaires. They have their money invested, not sitting around in Walter White pallets.

Hell, most of them don't even pay bills directly - if they go to a restaurant, an executive assistant settles the bill.
But, no, I have no reason to steal anyone's money.

We already do. It's called taxation. It's just not very effective.
- 1 mo
@MrChinaski Our tax system is progressive. That means that the tax rate on higher incomes is much higher than the tax rate on lower incomes. For 2022, the top 50 percent of all taxpayers paid 97 percent of all federal individual income taxes, while the bottom 50 percent paid the remaining 3 percent.
- 1 mo
@OlderAndWiser The right way to think of this is what is tax/income not tax/person. And then look at the top 1%, the top 0.1%, the top 0.01% ... etc
- 1 mo
@MrChinaski
The average income tax rate in 2022 was 14.5 percent. The top 1 percent of taxpayers paid a 23.1 percent average rate, six times higher than the 3.7 percent average rate paid by the bottom half of taxpayers.
The top 1 percent’s income share fell from 26.3 percent in 2021 to 22.4 percent in 2022, and its share of federal income taxes paid fell from 45.8 percent to 40.4 percent.
taxfoundation.org/.../ - 1 mo
Sure. multiply the statutory reported income by the statutory tax rate.
Now take a step back, define income as the rate of change in wealth, then tell me what tax rate Elon Musk pays. - 1 mo
@MrChinaski You can always find examples that do not fit the norm. That proves nothing.
- 1 mo
Except the top 1% are 14% of earnings, etc. He's hardly an anomaly.

Depending on how you want to count it, I've spent between 3 and 10 years on tax policy. You are discarding a genuine social issue on the basis that you are able to multiply a legally reported tax base by a legal tax rate. So you have defined away the entire issue.
Your profile says you were a lawyer. How excited would you be if I came onto this site and took it upon myself to teach you how to practice law?
I'm 100% as well qualified to do that as you are to teach me tax policy. - 1 mo

It's actually the non-wealthy who don't pay their fair share of taxes. The wealthy pay far more than their fair share:
The top 1% of income earners paid 38.4% of all federal individual income taxes according to the latest Internal Revenue Service (IRS) data released by the Tax Foundation and the National Taxpayers Union.
The top 5% of income earners pay 59.3% of all federal individual income taxes according to the latest IRS data compiled by the National Taxpayers Union Foundation and the Tax Foundation.
The top 10% of income earners pay 70.5% of all federal individual income taxes according to the latest IRS data released by the National Taxpayers Union Foundation and tracked by data reports like USAFacts.
The bottom 50% of income earners pay 3.3% of all federal individual income taxes according to the latest IRS statistics finalized by the Tax Foundation and the National Taxpayers Union Foundation.

Billionaires drive on the same roads, go to the same parks, and are protected by the same military as everyone else. So why should they pay any more than anyone else for those services?
When you go to McDonalds, they don't make you fill out a form telling them how much money you make. Everyone pays the same amount for the same Big Mac. Why should the government store be any different?
All non-billionaires should be required to send thank you notes to billionaires every year for letting them freeload on their backs.
The income tax system should be scrapped and replaced by a head tax. Everyone pays the same amount. Democrats have no heads so I can't understand why they are so opposed to that. - 1 mo
@RingOfFire
Its all of the corruption by politicians in mainly DC is the sole reason that so much is needed. If there were such a thing as HONEST people in office taxes could be lower and not as many things taxed. Not to mention the waste. - 1 mo

They usually have their wealth tied to assets.
And no i wouldn’t steal from them just because they have more
But I certainly would exploit my power to make money
Perhaps sell my services at a premium for being a very through private detective
Or something of the sort.01 Reply- 1 mo
You don't rob a billionaire with a knife or a gun. His pocket money is chump change. The stuff in his mansion is a drop in the bucket.
3.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Money don't typically lay around but one could easily steal valuables to then sell or take for one self. Though a better thing do, more effective and easy is to go into shops steal alcohol and cigs it can be sold easily, quickly and is practically impossible to be traced. Unlike if you stole a certain valuables that can be reported and you get caught when trying to pawn it off.

1 moI'd be more prone to go to record stores, warehouses or pressing plants and steal things they have a number of extra copies of.
I MIGHT go to a bank at some point and lift a mil or two. Maybe even just a quarter of a mil just to take care of my bills/debts and allow me to make investments to make shitloads of my own money. Then, once I've made a ton of cash and had enough to spare, I'd take the original amount I stole back to the bank.13 Reply- 1 mo

1 moIt's much easier to steal money from middle class families than billionaires. They can't afford security.
Besides, stealing is wrong.
Billionaires are rich because God rewards them for contributing to society in the first place. Without present billionaires, we wouldn't have computer technology and wouldn't even have phone services.
00 Reply 2.5K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. It wouldn’t be that easy anymore. The money is all digitised. You couldn’t hack their bank account because they could track who did it.
you would have to watch them until they entered their pin somewhere and take their bank card and try to withdraw money from an ATM. But then everyone will just see wads of cash floating down the street as you try to get away.
