Why do people defend police officers no matter what, and they are thinking with herd mentality?

Think for yourselves people. I always told people how constantly I encounter officers at my job and most are douchy arrogant pricks and they think they are better than people with certain other jobs, and not humble. Guess what? People do mental gymnastics and say they could be having a bad day, stressed but being arrogant has nothing to do with that. And even when the officers are off they are the same way. Think for yourself and even before working at my job my whole life, I have noticed a good majority are assholes.

in america many people think police are bad. but when we find out what really happened in some stories, we stop believing bad story about cops. we assume you lied. picture

Police officers inherently have a dangerous and very stressful job and only get called to deal with other people's problems thus they are often giving the benifit of doubt in situations.

Yes, some cops can be pricks but a lot of that has to do with dealing with a bunch of other pricks daily in society especially in big cities.

Most are pricks. I deal with them on duty and off duty all the time at my job. Quit having herd mentality.

90% of cops are honest and are trying to serve their communities. In a lot of cities the police are not supported by the town administrators or the citizens.

Most is a stretch. Here in Seattle we see police abuse of citizens occasionally and people find it outrageous.

What do you think of people that defend them? Most cops that I have known are cocky and think they are better

There are very few people who defend abusive officers.
