A governor in indiana just declared June to be “celebration of nuclear families” month as well as pride month. This isn’t “equality,” this is someone trying to erase a month for marginalized communities.

This is obviously political virtue signaling. This governor could pass legislation that brings costs down for consumers, make way for new affordable housing, reform the broken prison system, make medical care affordable and fill potholes.
What does he do instead? Play the culture war white man who will take down the evil Pride Month by reclaiming it for the white heterosexual man.

This doesn’t help people (including white men), it is to make you feel as though you made a right choice in a candidate who speaks for your needs and the needs of your constituents instead of seeing it as a lame duck who’s only compass is to do the work of the ultra rich which gets their interests met at the cost of your own.
I don’t see it as Anti LGBTQ, because if it were reversed he would gladly make June Pride Month if it meant it made him look like he was caring and doing something with his power when he isn’t. It is erasing a month for marginalized communities, but the purpose is to make it look like he is a caring, hard working, awesome white dude who you should re-elect. Same goes for those attacking transgender people with threats about bathrooms.

Cross-dressing was illegal in one Australian state until 2000. In 2025, laws were past to provide those charged, convicted or jailed with redress.

There is No reason why Nuclear Families cannot celebrated at the same time as 'pride',
A nuclear family is defined in sociology as a family group consisting of two parents and their children, typically living together in one household. It doesn't define the sex/gender of the two parents, over my 60+ years I have seen Nuclear Families of virtually every make up,
This structure is often contrasted with extended families, which include additional relatives beyond the immediate family unit. but in the North of England where I'm from a Nuclear Family is not limited to two parents and their children, it includes all the extended Family.
