I live in a city where people are scared to come to.
Most people say it's the hood, and it is dangerous. People either love it or hate it but are cautious coming here. They're scared they'll get robbed or have fights with the locals. However, I've lived here all my life and I've rarely seen crazy moments. I go places around town solo. During that time, I get compliments, and people are polite to me. Most of the time i see the stereotype of our city online, some Friday afternoons and early Saturday mornings. Im not the stereotype either, so people, whether local or relocated, they ask where im originally from. I feel like i gain more attention because im an outlier.

When I was a teenager, I tried to treat rich people and poor people exactly the same, because the bible says not to judge people by how much money they have, but what I found was 90% of my poorer connections were jealous of me because they thought I did not have to financially struggle the way they did.
It seemed almost everybody hated me for using big words in my poems and essays, I even had T. A. s tell me they were lowering my grade because I used big words and they thought I sounded arrogant.
And I had a professor tell me I deserved a 95% but they were giving me a 90% to punish me for using big words because I sounded too pompous and theatrical.
Nein, nein, nein, nein, nein! Small-town Germany is 99% white, everybody looks the same.
