but it doesn't work the other way around?
For example, even if you have beauty, intelligence, or discipline, if you’re broke you still need money to translate those things into real opportunities. they dont take "fitness" for rent. this is the rightful king of resources. because it controls many others.

If you don't have enough money to pay for your essential needs, you are probably miserable. And if you get more money to solve that problem, you can make the misery disappear. But happiness is not the same thing as just the absence of misery.
You can't fix problems with money, you can pay other people a crazy amount of money to fix problems for you because you are too dumb to fix them yourself. For example, my well water stopped working the other day. So I went and diagnosed what was wrong with it with some basic trouble shooting utilizing my understanding of how electrical circuits and motors work. It took me about 10 minutes to resolve the problem by testing a couple things. The water works again. I cleaned the part I plan to replace which should buy me another month or two of working time. The part that needs to be replaced will cost me $10 or less. If I called someone to solve the problem for me they would have probably charged me a $1,000+ to install a new pump because average water guys don't carry around every part to fix systems, but they do carry around extra pumps they are trying to sell and they operate on the concept of a disposable economy. Would I have water the day I had the problem if I burned a thousand dollars or more? Sure, but I also had water in a couple of minutes because I have basic intelligence and it cost me nothing but time and with a couple of dollars it will be good for another 2 to 3 years most likely.
"you are too dumb to fix them yourself." oh so you basically like Tesla or whoever?=
No, I don't work on electric motors for a living...
You know how some people know weird things like how to tie a cherry stem with their tongue and it's unrelated to pretty much everything else they do... Well that's like me an electricity.
a polymath
I meant
Yeah that's a good description of me...
Money is what we have agreed to use to make trading with each other easier. Instead of you getting 10 apples and I getting 4 oranges we trade make-believe money with no value.
That also means money is not a real thing. It is only a symbolical thing. Its symbolical value is that it can get you whatever someone else is willing to give you in exchange.
So you can go to the smart person and say "Here is a lot of resources! Do smart things for me!" and they likely do so.
Your observation is of course correct but it is more that other people are pretty amazing and money lets you leverage that collective awesomeness to benefit you specifically.
Technically since money is not real but symbolical when I pay someone I am paying with symbolical "he did a smart thing for me" tokens.
But sure. Our society often sees money as its own thing but money is play pretend and make believe. It has whatever power we give it.
It is fit, smart, pretty and so on people doing things in the end. At least if we consider the people who actually help society.
Symbolic. "Symbolical" is not a word. Buy a dictionary.
I appreciate your attempt at a spell-check! Symbolical and symbolic are both accurate words and mean the exact same thing. Symbolical predates symbolic and is technically the more accurate choice whereas symbolic is its lesser slang cousin.
Symbolic tends to be the preference in academic writing to save characters.
Any half-decent dictionary will include both as both are entirely accurate.
Link the dictionary that has "symbolical" as a valid entry
Never mind, it turns out you were correct. Thank you for that. I learned something today.
Lol, you must live under a rock.
Money can't buy class, nor can it fix incompetence.
The problem people have is not knowing how to use what they have. But expect money to magically fix it.
A competent group with little money, can do a lot more than a rich idiot with no skills.
If you you have no place to sleep, money's the answer, if you're not growing at your job, money's not. Its not the answer to 30% of rejections, 70% of breakups, bad friends or almost anything that has to do with other people.
They keyword is "almost"
Money gives a lot of confidence and options but when you terminal cancer money, being pretty and intelligent don't give you what you need.
It can pay for medical or comfortable hospice care.
True. That's why people learn a trade or skill and build a career. It's why anybody works at all. It sucks being homeless, hungry, and without resources.
If you have money but your health is shot you won't be able to enjoy your money.
Yes money can fix a plethora of problems. It is pretty amazing stuff.
If you're truly intelligent you can separate not so smart people from their money. So your statement isn't ENTIRELY true.
Yes and no cause my parents did this to me so I get quiet.
So did you fix the problem with money or knowledge
true unfortunately.
That’s a bunch of jealous crap.
Not for me
