I've been a dozen times now, and I'm not particularly fond of them, except for Quebec City people. The ones in Niagara were also nice, but I honestly don't know where the "polite Canadian" stereotype comes from. Maybe from Quebec City because, because the vast majority of Canadians I've met have been angry assholes, who hate Americans.
But in terms of culture and geography, it's more or less an extension of the U. S., except Quebec and maybe the maritime provinces. I'd like to see more of it some day, but I'm not returning anytime soon with their disdain towards Americans. Though they NEVER liked us, except Quebec City people, which is fucked up because we've always loved them. It's also more woke than the US
I've been to Canada several times, to several provinces. In many way, it's a typical North American country, modern, clean, friendly people. Ottawa government is mostly liberal, which has affected Canadians' cost of living, including devaluing the Canadian dollar.
When I was growing up, my family often visited Niagara Falls, and I remember that the Canadian dollar (CAD) was close to on par with the US dollar, (USD) maybe a few percent less. Many US stores near the border accepted Canadian pennies, nickels, dimes and quarters as if they were US coins, and it was common for US stores to give them out as change. Now, the CAD is worth 40% less than the USD.
I'd love to go there again and escape the desert. I've mostly just been to Toronto, Niagara Falls and Vancouver and Victoria. I'd like to see Banff. I did experience the super polite Canadians you'd expect in Vancouver, not as much in Toronto. Mostly I think cold and super polite people lol
It's a big place, the size of the U. S., with beautiful landscapes and some beautiful cities. I've never been there, though.
But I don't like its government. It is part of the British Commonwealth and Trudeau is a WEF operative. What he did during covid, especially during the trucker's strike of 2022, showed that he disdains human rights.
Canada is dying. Sorry to say but they will fail as a country. Alberta wants to separate from Canada because the controls the Canada government is ruining Alberta.
Nice people and polite citizens, but a little racist in some fringe areas in the country.
Great place nice people fewer idiots overall. But needs better weather.
let alberta vote to join u. s. union. offer referendum to each of them let people vote.
🥶🫎🍁😇🧀... plus war crimes, and angry people from Quebec who speak bad French.
Their French is actually closer to the original French. But I can't complain about people who hate it, as I can't stand people who don't speak proper Spanish.
Winter is disrespectful. People are friendly and polite.
The nice version of the United States. 🙂
Been there plenty and really enjoy Canada.
Commie cities with good rural folk
becoming a communist hell hole
It’s the US’s little brother.
I think it's a really cool country.
Too cold.
