There was a guy on THIS website who asked me that, 'cuz he was shocked how I afford to travel so much, and my neighbor asked me something similar once, 'cuz he wanted me to buy a Halo game. Honestly, only Americans would have such nerve. But I didn't want to be rude or offend them so I just dodged the question or said, "Don't worry about it."

But next time however, I won't be so nice. Only an American would be THAT nosey

I'd tell them I have ten trillion imaginary dollars and they will be just as clueless after I answer as they were before asking.
