I think a lot people would say people of Germanic descent are the quintessence of "white", based on appearance. That would mean northwestern Europeans who are descended from Germanic tribes.
The majority of people define "whites" as Europeans, descendants of Indo-Europeans who began expanding into Europe and western Asia about 6000 years ago.
But I'll go with that third option. It includes anyone who isn't sub-Saharan African, indigenous Australian or American, Pacific islander, or has central or south-east Asian features.
Persians and many west Asians certainly have "white" features. And people from the Levant have south-European features.
In actuality, distinctions between people around the world based on race or phenotype are absurd. Nobody is white, black, red or yellow. There are very brown white people and there are very light skinned Africans. Plus, cross breeding has been going on for centuries.
We should stop stereotyping each other based on the antiquated notion of race.

To me, white generally refers to people from Europe, America, or Russia, but there's no clear-cut definition. It's not exactly a scientific category either.
What I find strange is that there are light-skinned people in the Middle East who aren't considered white, while darker-skinned people from countries like Italy or Spain are. It doesn't seem like a concept with clear boundaries, it feels like something people redefine however they want.
It's because of the silly American tendency to boil it down to skin color, when really its a grouping of similar ethnicities regardless of their individual range of hues
Europeans who have pale skin blue eyes blond hair brown to black sometimes. I can tell their eyes have shadow even though Elon musk don’t have. Some white look like Asian. But they have long leg long arms. I can tell their bone structure squares upper body.
So if a white person has brown eyes, they are not white?
@BomberTwister-Man yeah brown eyes too but not black eyes I think.
Well I have dark brown eyes and black hair. There is no such thing as black eyes. So that means that I'm not white?
Please answer me. I want to know.
@BomberTwister-Man if you have white skin to olive and I see the big difference in their bone structure yes. That’s the big difference. They usually have thick bones and broad shoulders, long leg, short upper body. If you have that you are white
Wow, you sound like an absolute expert on race.
Only European (Romance, Celtic, Germanic, Uralic, Slavic, and Hellenic)
I'd personally group the Middle East / North Africa together under another race, maybe called something like 'Occidental', comprising of Semites, Iranics, Turks and Berber
Uralic peoples sometimes carry as much as 20–30% East Eurasian ancestry.
Also, the Irish were, rather oddly, once not considered white in the US and were looked down upon
It's more North Asian/Siberian for Uralics, more in common with northern Turks or Mongols than Chinese or Japanese, and that's only really true for the furthest East groups in Russia on the very borders of Europe - for Finns, Estonians or Hungarians it's only a very small part, the Saami slightly more so but even still
The US racial breakdown rules throughout history are so messy and convoluted lol, I don't pay it much mind
Romani people AKA gypsies are immigrants from India.
@BomberTwister-Man I'm aware, by Romance I meant the Latin derived peoples/languages (Italians, Spaniards, etc)
Kinda confusing how the Romani have such a similar name, especially compounded with how Romania has one of the highest populations of them which adds a third level of confusion 😩
Unless you're black , have slave ancestors and suffered Jim Crow for nearly a century after manumission.
@canamlusciouslad73 Who are you replying to? I'm not sure how what you said fits in with whats been said

If it has fair skin and its eyes aren't slanted, it's White

“Caucasoid” is pseudoscience. If we go by that, then we’d have to define Indians as white for example. For me it’s mostly Europeans or people of predominantly European descent/phenotype, and sometimes Turks, Arabs, Iranians if they are “white passing”. I also think Germans are whiter than most Italians, Greeks, or Spaniards.
Interesting question. I've never thought about how I define white until now. I've always considered people with swarthy skin to be white. I think because in elementary school race was reduced to four fundamental colors. White, black, red and yellow. Even brown was too nuanced. They were either black or white.
Sorry if anyone is offended. Not my intent.
Not if they have 1% caucasian genes.
But if the dominant genes are caucasian then yes the person is white.
Because ultimately we are all a mix of things
Humanity has been around for far too long to find actual pure breads.
In fact someone who’s 100% caucasian and nothing else will suffer a risk of many diseases that require the blended immune system
There's a 150,000 different variations of white
16.7 million verifications of red
134, different shades of black
126 verifications of brown
And there's only Types of verification of ignorance
Is 2027 I'm sure you've been on this kick for a long time you should have figured it out by now
I left the last one for you how many verifications of stupid is there
Honestly, I never think about it. Not my top priority in life. Not my 753rd priority. For me national origin or "race" is more like "Oh wow, cool. I'm Scottish / German." And I move on to whatever else there is to talk about. My biggest concern is if you're celebrating Cinco De Mayo, Italian Festivals, or your African heritage, invite me to the party.
I don't. We humans are all shades of color, from pink to olive to tan to brown to black. The only true white person is an albino, and that's only 1 in every 9000 people.
A stupid generalization attempting to categorize people that doesn't work and results in more problems.
a lovely color w many variations ussd to paint your house.
In terms of skin color I'd say milk white to olive skin. Lighter than brown. Not that it matters much. Conforming to western culture is the critical aspect.
It is like this

Who voted the germanic one is a nazy.
Who voted "only Europeans" is a racist.
Who voted caucasoid is real intelinget and thous are special people, because they are rare.
Why are you constantly on about skin color? Are you racist? Smh.
@Agape93 Wow, you seem to know us better than we know ourselves...
"Turk" can refer both to a civic identity and to an ethnic identity. In fact, this is a topic that is frequently debated in Turkey today. Honestly, if even the definition of who is considered a Turk is still debated in Turkey, I don't think it's something that can be stated so definitively.
Until around the 13th century, the terms Turk and Turkmen were generally used to describe steppe-origin, semi-nomadic warrior peoples. Later, as the Turks expanded into Europe, many Western sources began referring not only to the Muslim populations of the Balkans but, from what I've read in some English sources, even to Muslim peoples of the Caucasus as "Turks." That was, of course, a Western perspective. They often used "Turk" as a political or imperial label. For example, Maronite Catholic Arabs who emigrated from Lebanon to Latin America in the 1820s were also commonly referred to as "Turks" because they carried Ottoman passports.
At the same time, there is also a Turkish-speaking population with a fairly well-defined cultural identity. As the other person mentioned, they probably make up around 75% of Turkey's population. Many Kurds, however, do not accept "Turk" as a civic identity. When asked where they're from, some will say "Kurdistan" despite holding a Turkish passport, which I find ironic
@MerakSahibi she is retarded
Anyone of European ethnic origin and having white skin.
Anyone native of Europe. White just means European.
No one is white except for Albino. All whites are some some level of pink tan.
Only people with Germanic European descent? Are you okay? You might need to visit a psychologist or need to educate yourself a little bit, cause you sound like the definition of an ignorant moron.
You should read history, moron
In what history were only Germans considered white? Clown.
Can we stop talking about race? But culture is important.
Anyone who lacks any color or is light-skinned is slapped with the term white, no matter their ethnicity
Nothing that has to do with humans. I don't like white milk so I add chocolate to make it taste better.
the color white is defined as the absence of color.
A blanket term for anyone with skin lighter color than bread crust, with the exception of Asians and apparently Slavs are an exception too (?)
Anyone that looks like the picture you posted is considered caucasian to me.
White people aren't even white but a light beige color.
The complete and total absence of any color.
White is anybody that the Trumpers don't hate, and not white is anybody that they do hate.
I don't think about that and I am suggesting you not to think about that
I don't... doesn't matter to me
Basically all non-blacks.
It's just a light color
