Immigrant-led business group votes to sue NYC over Mamdani’s taxpayer-funded grocery stores, alleging unfair competition - https://nypost.com/2026/07/28/business/immigrant-led-business-group-votes-to-sue-nyc-over-mamdanis-taxpayer-funded-grocery-stores/
Golly Gee! Yes! I do support this Immigrant led business group suing over the mayor’s ridiculous socialist grocery stores! Imagine if this were something a DSA backed president were to do throughout the country in every state! Imagine how many lawsuits there would be throughout the USA!

I think that those socialist grocery stores will go broke before a lawsuit can even get on the docket. The stores will give a 30% discount on staples like bread and milk. They will pay employees at least 20 dollars an hour. The stores themselves will cost 30 million dollars to build. They will go out of business within a year unless they get subsidized by the government.
With ai and those new digital price tags that change on time amd demographic algorithm made to milk every penny out of everyday needs on a hour by hour basis.
I honestly don't know about a government store but this is the perfect place and time to give it the benefit of the doubt.
Absolutely. Crushing the little guy.
Let's be honest when the government does anything it costs more.
lol, this is hilarious. I love it when they eat themselves.
LOL, it will get laughed out of court.
Thinking a court will laugh this out completely ignores how anti-competition laws work. There is nothing funny about a city government acting as both the market regulator and a heavily subsidized commercial competitor against its own citizens. The city is pouring $70 million of public money into building stores that pay zero rent and zero property taxes, contractually forcing a 30% discount. Private bodegas operate on razor-thin margins and cannot survive against a state-funded entity that doesn't have to turn a profit to stay alive. When a government weaponizes tax dollars to actively destroy its own tax-paying small businesses, courts take it very seriously. If allowed to stand, it sets a dangerous precedent where any DSA-backed administration can use taxpayer funds to undercut and bankrupt private industries. This is a legitimate legal fight over state-subsidized market destruction, and the courts won't be laughing.
Sure.
