I used to be against it but now I think it would be best. Many people pay $12,500 to $15,000 in Prems every year and they still must pay a deductible of $500 to $1000 before they can use it. It doesn't include dental, Hearing, or eyes. Many other procedures are not covered either. Prescriptions are not often covered. I see people taking cancer treatments and then Insurance provider cancels policy on them. Greed by Insurance companies is out of control. Hospitals charge $400 for one Aspirin, and $3000 to doctors that just say hi and look at your chart. Fraud runs rapid.

Government Coverage would be for everyone like Driving Insutance (which you are made to have to drive), Prems would be $25 a month and Deductible would be low. You would be able to see a doctor in your area. You won't be cancelled ever. Your coverage would include Hearing, Dental, and Vision. The over charging would stop. It would make life more affordable for Americans.

Rich people could still get additional coverage from private insurers

if they want private rooms or be treated in other countries for more risky procedures and also for Plastic Surgery.

Yes I would be for Government run Healthcare with total coverage

it would be good but it probably won’t work here because of greedy corporations , luckily I work for a big Company and pay $25 a week but I still have to pay a co-pay of 20% until I reach my $3200 deductible for the year as a single person

A single payer system in the United States of America will save tax payers a trillion dollars.

That hsa account would go into taxes but will help people back on their feet better and able to work again sooner. So they themselves pay more taxes.

End of the day the insurance companies have a financial obligation even duty to share holders to deny your coverage. You paid them for years and when you get fucked.

A tax system the government has a incentive to get you back on your feet working again. Hopefully you can vote an influence them a little bit.

Most jobs are still small business , and they can't afford to cover employees. You stilll get limited coverage. With Insurance you will go bankrupt if you get cancer. The increases for treatment double every year. You are one in 100,000 people. Other people don't get that chance, most people don;t. I bet your shit smells like perfume too.

I get my insurance through my employer. They pay 85% of the premiums. I pay extra to get the top of the line plan to be able to go to any hospital and see any doctor.

I just got a total hip replacement last January. I waited two weeks to see the doctor and another two weeks after that for the surgery. It was a 20 dollar copay and it included 12 weeks of PT.

If the government ran it I would still be waiting.

I do think we should AT LEAST have a system where gov't healthcare is an option. We all know gov't care is not the same care you get in the free market. But it's much needed for the reasons you just listed. I fear though that healthcare make up such a big part of the economy that there will never be any will to fix it. At least not till a lot more people lose their houses and unemployment is at double digits. And by then it may be too late.

There is actually hardly any fraud and abuse. If you don't like how much is charged, that's a valid concern, it's high. However, doctors have to see those who can't pay too. They don't get paid from those people. So, you pay more, because you can. The more people who can't pay, the more those who can will be charged.

Because the cost doesn't go away, everyone will just be forced to chip in and the state will have no incentive to do a good job. It will be far worse than we have it now.

Figure out what kept costs low before and do that for crying out loud. I don't think this is enough of rocket science to scrap the entire plan and do what we KNOW never works.
