gentrification seems wonderful.

people willing to invest money to revitalize a place. but then prices go up so poor people can't afford to renew rent at new price.

two of the problems are *weird phrases:

picture. that makes zero sense so really those are zero problems.

the history HAPPENED already you can't impact the history. so gemini paraphrased 'erases local cultural history' so that is what they mean about history. won't see the history after renovation -but i have a solution.

we know what the history was:

picture. the history was: this place had more crime. that preserved the history.

sure there are complaints but more benefit for residents renovated homes so benefit residents. especially when i offer solutuons:

the only real objective problem is 'community' so make- as part of the renovation- one of the old crumbling buildings- rooms (like lecture rooms instead of homes) for cultural activities. adults can participate in various arts: guided writing drawing or painting and by these activities connect and that preserved community and boosted new culture. while less crime.

this fixes some of the problems so now, it has benefits and less problems, so now it is a good compromise.

Its not that simple. A real problem with gentrification is that local communities of renters and home owners find themselves pushed out of their homes by high property taxes as city authorities determine because property values are up owners can pay more. If you can't pay you get evicted and the property seized. This is a large part of why people are fleeing liberal cities like refugees.

The US is more and more becoming like Europe and the UK where nobody has any money to spend due to a combination of low wages and high taxes on everything.

When it's whites moving into a minority area it's "gentrification".

Yes, where I live there is an Italian section of town. When I was a kid 90% of thr people that lived there were italian. They all got displaced when thr yuppies decide it was cool to live there. Most of the small business owners lived in thr neighborhood. Now they are all gone and most of the businesses are too
