Trump and the GOP blame their problems on Biden while churning ahead with tax cuts for the rich as the deficit grows and alienating long term allies while kissing up to dictators.

The Democrats blame their 2024 losses on their failure to get their message across rather than addressing the problems with that message, for example Biden's enormous stupidity on the border issue.

What was "Biden's enormous stupidity on the border issue"? AIUI, he came up with agreements with Mexico to have people shuttled from their northern border back down to the southern border, which protected the border without impinging anyone's human rights. It's not the Democrat's fault that people believed the "open borders" propaganda, is it?

Also, the first part of your update is things Republicans have actively done, the second is just what Democrats have said. That's a major difference, right there.

Biden should have stepped down, possibly even part way through his first term, to give Harris a chance to prove she could do the job.

What human rights demand that a country allow anyone in? Every country has the right to protect its borders.

As far as the agreement with Mexico, it was too little too late. They did come up with a bill to improve the situation - 6 months before the election, after 3 years of piddling.

When Biden was elected he should have re-evaluated border policy BEFORE immediately reversing the Trump policy from the first term. The whole "kids in cages" thing was BS - they shouldn't have been in cages, they should have been sent home with their whole family.

The big problem with Biden is, he never was a very smart man. Even when he was 40. And his incompetence directly led to the re-election of the weasel we have now.

Biden increased the number of judges to help deal with the backlog, Trump fired loads.

The constitution demands that anybody in the country gets due process of law; people are entitled to request asylum. That's why the Mexico agreement was a good move, it kept the people from crossing the border. Trump's now trying to set up sham hearings by having his own lawyers "represent" asylum seekers.

Here's the preamble to Biden's immigration actions on day one:

Since Trump came back into power practically all immigrants to the US have been white South Africans.

Poverty and high crime rates are not traditional reasons for asylum. The process had become show up at the border with kids and claim persecution. The "sanctuary cities" had also made it hard to get rid of actual criminals.

In my area several Chileans were recently arrested after just having been released for previous arrests for burglary. They weren't even illegal immigrants but were here on tourist visas, but yet were released instead of being immediately deported, just to go back to burglary. And then they go home before their court dates. All because of the reluctance of local officials to actually deport people.

The point is they were released and continued their crimes, then leave before their court dates. This isn't really directly relevant to immigration but rather the policies that let people stay in the country whether here illegally or legally even after being apprehended for deliberate crimes.

I assure you, it's worldwide the case. US population is even more handicapped due their two party system.
Politics is a sock puppet theater, red sock on one hand and blue sock on another but the puppet player is one and the same person but children who watch this spectacle don't see it.
Lobby financing political elections controls all/both parties, that's why you elect just differently colored socks but not the puppet player.

Try to figure out what is best for the country rather than what suits your core interest groups. And avoid echo chamber situations where you have a bunch of people surrounded by people who agree with them and thus fail to address concerns outside their own little sphere.
