Is it normal to become lonelier as you grow as a person?

As I continue to improve myself, read more, and learn new things, I've noticed that I'm becoming increasingly isolated from society and evolving into a more intellectually mature person.

For example, the everyday conversations people have at work, all that stupid gossip and pointless small talk, no longer interest me. Even the meaningless conversations that go on for hours between couples seem to lose their appeal. I find myself becoming less and less interested in these kinds of things.

Everything starts to feel ordinary and monotonous. General daily news, celebrity gossip, TV shows, nothing seems to capture your interest anymore. Material possessions, money, consumerism, and the ordinary routines that most people care about no longer seem to have any meaning to me.
