Guns are useful tools on farms or wild setting. Hunting is a way of life for many people. However you do not need a AK47 to hunt gofers. Handguns are only useful to kill humans. in my opinion. So yes you can still support responsible gun ownership and gun control at the same time.

My anecdotal as a jury member of a self defense case. Land lord threatening violence on tenants while touching the defenders bed girlfriend in tears scared for her life. Landlord moved hand behind his back got lead between the eyes before he got hold of nothing behind him.

Unless you have over a million dollars in your back pocket you as a citizen do not have a fundamental right of self defense. You will be arrested, charged and interrogated.

Majority of people are pay check to pay check so this legal process of self defense will make majority of victims homeless before anything is settled legal with a free lawyer.

From their maybe your smart enough to shut the fuck up and get a lawyer even a government appointment lawyer but majority of people are not.

There will never be a happy ending firing a gun at someone.

Not true. Depends on your state. Mine is ultra red and we have constitutional carry, castle doctrine and stand your ground laws. We’ve had several instances of law abiding citizens killing bad people in self defense and the only thing happening to them is a pat on the back. Pro Choice but Catholic which is 100% pro life
Wealthy but not paying their fair share of taxes what they want conservatives to pay
Gun ownership. Remember we’ve had shootings and assassination attempts by democrat nut jobs.
Defund police but then hire private security for own protection
No fence or borders but then sleep with doors and windows locked while sleeping in house with fence around it

Most people owns guns in rural areas. It's laughable that Democrats think they can confiscate guns in America. Any rural sheriff will tell you they only have a handful of deputes and they have thousands of gun owners that have hunting licences in their county. You start trying to take people's guns and it's a matter of hours until one of those hunters decides you don't get to live anymore. What is 10 or 20 officers going to do against 5 to 10 thousand snipers with a 30.06. Not much... Democrats are disconnected from reality.

Almost everybody in rural areas owns guns in the US. A gun is like a fire extinguisher, you may never need it but you’ll be 110% screwed without it when you do. When the police are 20 minutes away in a rural area, you’re not going to stop a bad guy or wild animal from killing you by wishing. Just like you’re not going to stop your house from burning down by waiting 20 minutes for the fire dept to show up.
