I think some people do, yes. Not necessarily because they openly support racism, but because they don't see racial profiling as a serious problem until they or someone they care about experiences it. When it happens to another race, they may dismiss it, make excuses for it or simply stay silent.

I don't believe being white automatically makes someone racist, and I wouldn't generalise about all white people. But I do think there's a difference between not being racist yourself and actually caring when other people experience racism. You don't have to be the target of discrimination to recognise that it's wrong.

What bothers me most is the indifference. Fairness shouldn't depend on whether something affects you personally. ❤️
