Americans care about their friends, parents, uncles, etc but not that much like Italians, Latin Americans, etc. Actions speak louder than words. You notice it talk about it, friends hardly contact their friends, hang out with them, and same goes with their grandparents, etc but oh in America how they obsess over their romantic partner and kids. You see how in France they hang out with friends every week, contact them, etc in Latin America they care about everyone.

I'm Italian.
Trust me, we're not as friendly as people say or think and we're just a living stereotype.
Most Italians are wary of strangers and are difficult to befriend, they always assume strangers are trying to deceive them.
We're loud and we smile a lot (well, I'm Italian and I don't smile a lot and I'm not loud, it's another stereotype), so people think we're friendly, but we really are not.
Most Italians lack good manners altogether. Spanish people, on the other hand... they're actually warm and friendly.
I can say this is 100% accurate, especially the not very friendly part. I have a "friendship" with an Italian girl on social media and she is a lot like what you described. I wanted to meet up with her in person when I flew to her state and she was wary of it. I even told her if she wasn't cool with it it's okay. Like I'm not a deceitful or ill-intentioned person but that wasn't enough to convince her, so I didn't push it. We still chat here and there though. I've also heard Italians are racist and don't like black people, yet I've known some half black, half Italian people who said their parents really love black folk.
Gonna disagree a little on the Spanish people part. Central Americans really love their families but they tend to be very rude to outsiders and can be some of the most racist Latinos.
But still do you agree how other countries other than U. S. (doesn't have to be Italy or Spain) care a lot more for their friends, parents, etc compared to Americans where they revolve their whole world in an exaggerating way over romantic partners and their kids and are shitty friends, shitty sons, etc?
@Steven80000 Yeah I still agree. Me and my buddy were talking the other day about other cultures - especially Asians and Latinos - tend to look out for each other and their families, meanwhile both black and white Americans have high family dysfunctions and no care to really help one another. In America people tend to think "every man for himself." So yes, a lot of what you say is true.
@ManOnFire Yeah a lot of white and black Americans only care about their romantic partners and kids. I think it is dumb when people forget about their family and friends just because of a romantic partner and kids. Everyone is busy but if you actually cared , you would reach out sometimes and not just when you are bored, need a favor. I am glad you admit it. Many people don't admit it. The truth hurts but you have to admit it. Lol.
@ManOnFire do you agree?
Yeah definitely. That's what I was saying.
Americans care far more about money than about each other. Welcome to capitalism.
Have you noticed how Americans tend to over exaggerate the priority of romantic partners and kids and basically leave their friends and family behind a lot whereas other cultures at least make time because they care?
When I say family here I mean grandparents, parents, etc.
Have you noticed?
lol what?
Nope
