I respect doctors. They are smart and almost all are good at what they do. Pharmacists? No more so than any other educated person.

the respect and prestige doesn't come from putting the pills into the bag.

it comes from being forced to memorize the how every medication works, every medication's side effects, every medication's contraindications, which meds can't be taken with which other meds, memorizing hundreds of disease processes and how these medications work on the disease.

imagine being forced to do this for hundreds of medications or hundreds of disease processes, it takes a huge brain.
