I can't say my experience been well with all nurses. In general I have more respect & appreciation and hold a Dr to a higher degree than them. Also , it's pretty annoying how most nurses think they're a Dr too or should be! I also find in general doctors always usually maintain a good attitude with patients, while nurses think they can be rude and say nasty stuff
This is a loaded question. I work with both on a daily basis and I respect both professions quite a bit! But as for who do I respect more?
Nurses. Believe it or not, they tend to work with the patients WAY more than the doctors. Nurses have to document, medicate, and treat the patient, deal with the family and their family, oh my gosh, their job description is so long, I know I'm leaving a lot out, so apologies to any nurses on here...
In addition, nurses data is charted and read by whom-
The physician. And the physician does work with the patient, though to a lesser extent than the nurse, whom usually winds up carrying out the physician's orders. You're usually going to see and work with the nurse more than the provider.

Doctors can be just as rude, condescending, and have nasty attitudes... that's any profession! YOU, as a patient, or non-healthcare worker, just don't always see everything... but some of them talk about patients behind closed doors (or in your face!) or have terrible bedside manner.
And yes, I know nurses can be rude; again, I've seen it from all aspects of healthcare. It's a demanding field and you're going to come across good and bad workers of all professions.
Nurses. Not that much of some doctors. Those nutters that cut people up seem not to follow the Hippocratic Oath and prescribe unwanted animal-tested drugs.
