Would you want your girlfriend to pose in Playboy?

Question

This girl I date was asked if she would like to be in Playboy. I am hugely against it. Everyone she's spoken to seems to be super excited about it.. Even her f***ing Dad said he was proud of her! WHAT THE f***?!?!

...Anyway... everyone I ask, except 1 guy, thinks it's awesome and can't understand why I don't like the idea... "You'd be dating a girl in Playboy!"

I don't give a f*** about that! I know she's beautiful and I don't need f***ing bragging rights!

Everyone seems to think it's some Amazing opportunity... I'm so pissed...

Am I crazy or insecure for being completely against the idea?

Buddy, you are not crazy in one bit. This is totally understandable and unfortunately the world has gone sour as with the good majority of the bros and females who have already chewed you out for it. Its not a good idea to be posing in nude magazines personally. Trust me, she thinks its a good idea now, but what about down the road when she is older? Hell, what about just afterwards? Some girls just need to be attention whores I guess.

Here is some more food for thought: If women hate p*rn, playboy and models so much, why do other women keep becoming p*rnstars, models and pose in playboy?

If it really is a big deal to you, find another girl who doesn't want to do that kinda thing.

PS to all the women here who seem to think that its okay because some guys look at nude photos of other women or watch p*rn, let me explain a male perspective. We are curious and like looking at the female body. In addition to all that, we enjoy sex... a lot... If we all had someone kinda special to us who could understand us, let us see them nude and have sex at least 3 times a week, there would be no excuse for us to watch p*rn... ever...

If she is hot Men are going to see her naked anyway...i.e. they will be mentally undressing her. If you trust her and it is something she wants to do then what is the problem with her baring her flesh for a tasteful shoot? I think that you should let her do it on the condition that you can go to the shoot with her to make sure that she is comfortable and 100% sure it's what she wants to do when she gets there.

She may well get there and decide that she cannot bring herself to do it, on the other hand, she may thrive on it. It doesn't make her any less of a person.

My husband would be totally cool with it, but I'd have to think long and hard about it. I'd be tempted, but I don't think I'm inclined to do it.

I was offered a million dollars to be the "cover girl" for a well-known men's magazine. I did a swimsuit issue and that is what led to the offer to pose nude.

It was flattering, and I admit that I was tempted. I thought about it, but my brother said, "Jennie, I think you need to rethink that.’ I asked why, and he said, ‘If a little girl goes to the grocery store and sees that magazine and says ‘Daddy, there’s Jennie. Can I get that magazine?’ And then the dad has to say, ‘No, that’s not appropriate.’ How would that make you feel?’"

That hit me like a ton of bricks, and I was like forget it, there’s no way. I accept being a role model and I love the fact that I have the opportunity to be the best role model I can be for the youth of today and tomorrow.

I understand that you may not like it, but it's really not that bad. The guys that might jerk off to her you will probably never meet a day in your life & neither will she. Quite honestly, guys could be jerking off to her Facebook pictures right now whilst you complain about this. & the whole statement about your future daughter wanting to do it is a little bit overboard because she doesn't have to know that her mom was in playboy, unless her mom is some celebrity of some sort & she can google it. & it's not like your girlfriend is going to bring home any STD's or unwanted pregnancies.

the world is getting nastier everyday, regarding the question about f***ing other guys girlfriends I don't know if you've heard there are swap parties/orgies going on where people swap each others partners and do each other so it has already started. and last month a 10 year old mexican girl gave birth to a baby boy. I understand were you're coming from, however, at the end of the day, she needs to make the choice herself. If you can't handle it, you probably shouldn't be dating her, especially if her posing would change the way you feel about her. You said to one of the guys that if she does this, she doesn't care about her future and she isn't someone you want to date, and you'd dump her for that reason. I'm sure that unless she plans on being a politician, it won't come back to haunt her. But the fact that you'd dump her for posing means you probably shouldn't be with her at all. I don't know how to say this without sounds corny, but, if you truly love this girl, you'll stand by her side no matter what.

id say let her do whatever she wants and then dump her, there's never a future with a playmate  Hugh Heffner might get a taste of her, like  dump her after she poses so that you can say yo I dated a playboy playmate, OK that plan is too evil and I'm just kidding. You should date someone who is a bit decent, like you seem to be a nice guy and I hate to break it to you if she finds a really rich kinda or sugar daddy type of guy she might dump you anyway so dump her before she dumps you, and at the end of the day its really her call whether she poses or not, and as far as your "future daughter" goes just also imagine about a future son whose gonna be embarrassed if his friends find out that his mom posed and they would be jerkin off to her pics as well. But if there is true love between you 2 and you trust her I think you guys can survive this issue. who knows she might just pose few times and call it quits and settle for a good suburban soccer mom -ish life.

Think of it this way. If some dude walks up to your girlfriend and offers to pay her if she strips for him, that's wrong for her to accept, no? You'd have reason to be upset? How is Playboy any different?

Alternately, is it insecure to want your girlfriend to not have sex with other people? How about oral? Stripping? Kissing? Where do you draw that line? She probably kissed you before she stripped for you. And if kissing is cheating, well, why is stripping no big deal?

Just my 2 cents. I'd be thoroughly weirded out by it.

Playboy isn't really a "porn" magazine, she's not going to be pictured naked having sex with other guys.

Is she hoping to run for president? Other than that, I doubt anyone would really care when she's looking for another job.

And your daughter being turned into a p*rn star because of that is just ridiculous.

If you're going to dump her for choosing something she wants, you may as well just dump her now. Then she'll have the opportunity to find an unselfish man who will actually support her.

I actually agree with your way of thinking but if she doesn't, then what does that say about your relationship? Are you thinking about marrying her? If she poses - over your well thought out objections - will that change how you feel about her? If she doesn't pose because you don't want her to, will that change how she feels about you?
