Is it good or bad when people keep saying that "we fight like an old married couple"?

This girl has a certain I don't know what. We get along great, but we fight a lot, in a funny kind of way. A lot of people (and I mean a lot, like every person who has seen us together has said it) just laugh when we are arguing and say that we fight like an old married couple. I personally like it because she is very smart and its like our dialog is scripted because we know each other so well, we can anticipate what the other will say, its quite uncanny.

Do you think people "sense" something between us or is just an automated response to every guy and girl who argue?

lol I have the same problem with a guy I've liked for a while, and people tell us that often. We get along great but play fight all the time. I think its a good thing because it shows you two can act like youve known each other for a long time (hence a married couple) and can play and have fun.

No I don't think its a bad thing at all, at least I hope not because I'm in the same situation.

Lol I know. Its funny that we can guess what the other is going to say before its even spoken, just by looking at their faces haha

I think they say this, because of what you said "it's like our dialog is scripted because we know each other so well, we can anticipate what the other will say," and that's the "like a married old couple". I believe I would say it was like that as well if I was there.

But it's up to you if that's a good, or a bad thing.

We are probably spending way too much time together :/. I don't know if its good or bad but we get it all the time, they should mind their own business lol

Your reading into it a little too much I think. Perhaps your trying to make something more out of the simple phrase. If I were you I would take some time and evaluate myself to see what my inner emotions are saying. Because it seems to me you've set the phrase as a goal ;)

I'm just curious to know if its a good thing or bad, I'm not even friends with her or anything. but there's SOMETHING that makes us talk to each other the way we do, because I don't talk like this with anybody else and I don't see her talking like that to any other person. As a matter of fact, we started kinda hating each other so maybe that hatred turned into this?

Like I said, it sounds to me like you subconciously have a thing for her. And that's not a bad thing. Opposites attract :)
