This girl is my best friend's girlfriend's best friend, let's call her "S". I recently took a liking to her and my friend set it up so we all went out as a group 3 days in a row.
The first night we went bowling and S and I were talking quite a bit and smiling and poking fun at each others' lackluster bowling ability. We had been messaging back and forth on Facebook for about a week at that point.
The next day, Saturday, we were messaging a bit and she asked me if there were any plans for tonight with the group. My friend again set something up and we all (it's a group of 5) went out to a bar. At said bar, there was dancing. S went out onto the floor to dance with her friend and I, not being much of a dancer, just stood off to the side and watched people. She then grabbed me out of nowhere and pulled me out onto the dance floor where we danced/grinded for a good 20 minutes. afterward we went to another room and her friend came up to me and said "she asked me if she should dance with you, was that okay?" I told her it was more than okay and I wanted to dance with her.
We went back to my friend's apartment afterward and me and S slept on the couch (just slept!). the next morning we both woke up about the same time and just talked for like two hours before the others got up and we went to get breakfast. I got her number later that day. She has also been wanting to rematch me in chess since I beat her which I think might be an in with her. Looking pretty good so far, right? Here's where I start to question things:
So a couple days later, after a few texts back and forth, I asked her if she wanted to go to a hibachi grill sometime. She responded saying "yeah, maybe we could all go." meaning all of us, as a group.
I haven't said anything back yet because now it seems like she only wants to hang out in a group and now I'm not so sure she is interested anymore. It seemed like she was, but after that response to me basically asking her to get dinner sometime, I just don't know. Any advice or thoughts?
