Are the Cleveland Browns Back?

The Brown's Are Back

And Here's Why

Baker

It's pretty obvious that the Brown's are better than they were in years past, especially in the past 4 years. Since 2015 the Browns had won a combined total of, drum roll please...... 4 games. This year alone they have won 7, and tied 1 game with the steelers. But wins aren't the only thing that brings a team back to its... old glory?

In the past 3 seasons the Browns have gone through not 1, not 2, not 3, but, that's right, you guessed it, 8 quarterbacks! And guess who had the most yards in a season between 2015 and 2018: DeShone Kizer, a late round draft pick who had a whopping 2894 yards paired with an elite 11 TDs and 22 INTs! Incredible! However, in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Brown's took a chance and grabbed at a Elite, young, playmaking quarterback named Baker Mayfield, who has, in his single year in the NFL, thrown for 3,349 yards paired with 24 TDs (to date) and 11 INTs (to date), and the year isn't even over yet!

Now I know what you're thinking, so what the passing game improved. Who cares? WHAT ABOUT THE RUN?!?! WHAT ABOUT THE O-LINE? Well do I have news for you! In the last 4 years, only 1 player has eclipsed 900 yards rushing, and that was Isiah Crowell who did it in 2016 with 952 yards on 198 attempts for an average of 4.8 yards. Great. Well, in 15 games so far this year, another rookie by the name of Nick Chubb has led the team in rushing yards with 972 on just 183 attempts! That's an average carry of 5.3 yards! That reflects not only on the running back, but the offensive line as well.

Now let me throw a stat at you. 53. 66. 50. 38. That's the total number of sacks the Brown's Offensive Line has given up every season the last 4 seasons. If the running game doesn't show you how much better the Brown's O-Line has gotten, then this certainly does.

But what about the defensive? Well, it speaks for itself. 17 total interceptions, that's 10 more interceptions than last year alone! And we cannot forget about the D-Line of course! Tallying 35 sacks this year, that number is up from the sorrowing 34 sacks from last year! (Big jump from last year can't you tell?)

So if all of their numbers are on a rise, why haven't they won more games you ask? Well...

Kicking. Kicking just 80% on extra points! THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! Not to mention the MOCKERY that is 78% of Field Goals made! Now I'm not going to sit here and point fingers at a single person, so I'm going to point 2 fingers at the 2 kickers who are held responsible for this outrage; Greg Joseph and Zane Gonzalez. Damnit Greg.

I propose we kick both kickers out of Cleveland and send them to the Steelers. We Hate The Steelers.

Thanks for reading!
