If he did it and destroyed her, people would question why he would beat up on a girl. If he lost, he'd be ridiculed for losing to a girl. It was a loss for him either way. I'm not sure it's either chivalry or chauvinism because he didn't want to deal with the backlash. I wouldn't do it either. Odds are he would've won because males are genetically stronger pound for pound in comparison to females.
Men have (maybe slightly more? I don't know!) more dense and tight muscle fibers in their body than women. Men (especially in prehistoric times) protected the clan and killed dinner. Women tended to the babies and raised them.

Because that guy can't win anyway. Either he wins and then people will not like him cause he beat a woman and even if he loses he won't win, cause he'll be called a pussy or weakling. There's nothing to be gained for him.
Exactly, it’s a no win situation for him anyway. But then again, she challenged him so maybe he should take the fight but be upfront about that his going all in. The poor girl would land on her face faster than you can say “equality”
Uhm, he’s just not a sissy and wishes an equal fight. In my first two weeks in an mma class i pretty easily handled girls who had been training for years. It’s not even a fair comparison.
That's a matter of personal judgment. If you feel like you would end up doing things to her that you will regret, whether it's that you're afraid you'll hurt her physically or end up accidentally touching her in inappropriate places, or maybe lose against her big time... Then you should probably just opt out. Otherwise, game on
He did what HE felt was right. We need more people like that who aren't afraid to be themselves and not follow the crowds like MGTOW or feminist groups.
You don't need a group to validate your beliefs.

I will just say this. I played football in high school and one of the teams we played had a girl on it. When my team played that team it always fucked with everyone because they were afraid they would hurt her and it messed with our heads.
It wasn't until years later when I really thought about it that I realized how selfish it was of that girl to put all of those guys in that position. I have no respect for girls like that, or their parents.
How dare he not want to beat the fuck out of a lady, sexist racist Nazi. Satire aside I agree with him, boys should wrestle boys and girls should wrestle girls.

It benefited the girl, therefore it's chivalry. If it didn't, it would be chauvinism.
You're supposed to treat women as special when it benefits them, and as true equals when it benefits them.
Why did he even join the tournament if the rules allowed boys and girls to fight each other? Sounds more like lack of research and preparedness than either of the other options.

If he wins, he will catch hell because it was a girl. If he loses, he will catch hell because it was a girl. If she wins, it will be seen as a triumph. If she loses, then there's no skin off of her back at all. I won't to know how domestic violence will be perceived once gender barriers are broken in MMA, boxing and all other combat sports. Will women still be looked at as victims? Will men feel more emboldened to hit, punch or beat women if they feel threatened?
I really appreciate that at least someone has a reasonable opinion on the matter. How the hell is his decision anyone's business? People need to learn to mind their own.
Its an act of principle than anything even I dont agree with his principles. Lol she tried to trick him into making certain statements but she was totally barking up the wrong tree lmao.

This kid is old school. I support his stand against the unisex madness.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p_6k4KgUZqQNot that girls don't have their place in wrestling:
It is what man does.
A man doesn't battle or compete against women.
Men are the dominant physical gender.
Male and female athletics should always be separated.

@SueAnon84 Haha thanks for the citation <3
But its just so obvious! Men are designed to protect women from other men
They aren't designed to compete against women. They are designed to compliment women.
you won't let a tractor compete against a horse. it makes no sense. it's just dumb and therefore sensible to refuse that competition.

If he had accepted and fucked her up, the same media would cry because he dared hit and beat a woman.
they need to stop trying to appease the liberal media,
@NatalieKeller95 "Liberal Media" what does that had to do with this?

I think that from a professional standpoint, it shouldn't matter to him who his opponent is and what they look like.
But I get that from a personal standpoint, he has his own beliefs. If he wants to forfeit, he has the right to.
Uhm, he’s just not a sissy and wishes an equal fight.

It's a lose/lose either way.
You're either beating up a girl or getting beaten by a girl.
so true

"appropriate places" that's the point
It doesn't matter what OTHER people think he is.

If it was for religious and personal reasons than she shouldn't be offended and neither should any other girl
She should not be offended anyway. He forfeited a match. Big deal! There's no reason to act like a pussy and try to get offended by it.
True.

This is a debate? Seems pointless to me. And since when did females and males wrestle each other in tournaments?
I really appreciate that at least someone has a reasonable opinion on the matter. How the hell is his decision anyone's business? People need to learn to mind their own.
Exactly. People are just finding anything to argue about n

Wrestlers like Nia Jax and Becky Lynch have competed against Male wrestlers.
Nia Jax enteted the Mens Royal Rumble
Becky went against King Corbyn
Why do the media always have to pick apart everything. Just let him makes his own decisions without being judged 🤷
