I am going with my Milwaukee Brewers. Feel like this team has gotten overlooked despite their record against the NL West titans of Giants and Dodgers and Padres.

Yeah, they do. They played very well against the west this year. Although it hurts to watch them play teams under.500 and when they shouldn't.

To also comment on your update, not a lot of GAG users here really follow or talk sports or baseball from my experience in asking questions save for a few.

My money is on either SF, Milwaukee, or Tampa.
I expect the WS will be SF and Tampa and that this will be a good World Series.

Don't forget 2011... It wasn't looking good then and they got in as 2nd wildcard on the last day of the season.

At least Mike Shannon is retiring and that's fine as far as I am concerned. John Rooney and Ricky Horton are so much better.

Below are the remaining (beginning tomorrow) series of the relevant NL Wild Card teams. While ATL is leading the NL East, they are not dominating and PHI or even NYM could win that division, so they are included.

CIN is playing right now going into top of the 9th in PIT and ahead 1-0. If they win, they'll have be tied in the Wild Card chase with SD (although SD has one more win and loss) who plays SF tonight. STL is still ahead of both but don't play tonight.

Looking at the above series...
0. MIL will win the NL Central, so I didn't include them.
1. ATL should win the NL East
2. NYM is out.
3. PHI could gain...
4. SD is in trouble - all remaining games are against playoff or in-contention teams. Being in the NL West with the last 6 games against SF and LAD is a death sentence. San Diego is better than their record but your record tells you whether you are in or not.
5. CIN is in some trouble too because they play CWS and LAD.
6, STL is in trouble too because of 7 games against MIL and 3 against SD in STL. However, STL finishes with 6 at home
