My older male co-coworker has two kids; a daughter in her early 20's and his younger son that just turned 18 last week.
He used to be a martial artist, a runner and into basketball during his HS years. It's his daughter that shared his similar interest. She's been in martial arts for many years, participated in a women's run marathon a couple times and used to play basketball with her father as a kid. Meanwhile his son is so different from him, no common interest. He isn't interest in sports.
Part of me wonders if the man would've liked his son to have his similar interest, to have a son into sports just like his father? Instead only his daughter likes the same things he did. How can a daughter be into sports, share her father's interests but not a son?
