I saw Frank Dux break bullet-proof glass and break the "bottom brick only" on live television. Yes, I know he did not actually fight in an illegal tournament, but his skills are still A+ IN SPITE OF the hoax.

True martial arts skill is shown by effectiveness when applied in a fight, the most well rounded fighters that combined grappling and striking would be GSP, Jon Jones, Demetrious Johnson, and most recent Alexander Volkanovski. I'm not impressed by party tricks lol

I would tend to agree with you, but you must realize MMA is not a "fight" either, since they ban more moves than they allow now. If my Isshinryu techniques were allowed in MMA, I'd fight MMA, but as it is it favors grappling, which favors strength on strength.

It's as close as it gets to a real fight without being arrested lol. Just curious what techniques used in Isshinryu would not be allowed? Its a variation of karate right?

Lots of pressure points and joint locks are banned. Pretty much any pinching of a muscle group while grappling is banned.

Pressure points are not banned and I can't think of any joint locks that are banned either

Oh actually yes the only thing would be small joints like fingers. wrists, ankles, arms, knees, everything can twisted any which way legally.

Nah, if you check the indepth unified mma rules, pinching of the flesh and putting your fingers in orifices is banned, and "small joint locks" including most wrist and ankle locks are banned.
