Boxing and wrestling is the best you have to be careful kicking because they can grab your leg and trip you up and throw you right on your back. Also, Judo is very good
All grappling forms are non-options in a street fight. You get that close to an opponent and you’ll be bleeding out of multiple stab wounds before you realize it.
I was never very impressed with martial arts. Learn how to take a hit first and foremost. Raw endurance and strength won't be trumped by flailing kicks and spins.
@TommyMountainFigure Respectfully, as career law enforcement, prisons are not filled with people who shot another in self-defense, so no I'm afraid you're misinformed.
@dustybiker2 Not if you're close range. I know seven people who have head-shots under their belt (admittedly only 5 were fatal). All of them were acquitted. To be fair only one of those is in personal circles, the other are professional circles, but I feel like that part isn't material.
@boopboopbeepoo. Just to elaborate, even carrying a gun here in the UK will get you 5 years minimum, therefore the excuse 'self defence' is deemed unlawful. I forget sometimes when I talk how very different the laws are tween the 2 countries.
@BoopBoopBeep I don't know how I'd feel about carrying a gun if it was allowed. I mean, If I have one, then it would be a given that everyone else had one too. So it is really all down to whoever is quicker on the draw where you are?
@BoopBoopBeep Sorry. I didn't word the question quite how I wanted. What I mean is, do you feel safer carrying a gun knowing everyone else is too, Or not carrying one knowing 99.9% of the population also isn't
@TommyMountainFigure I feel safer with my mom carrying one than her not carrying one. Last guy that pulled a gun on me got shot with his own one, so six of one, half a dozen of another as far as I'm concerned.

@Chazmatazz269 well in that case you may as well use gun-fu and just shoot their ass.
Stay away from criminals and street people. That is the best defense... It is 100% 💯safety. But to answer your question maybe Judo

would say MMA or just avoid the fight at any cost
The best option is:
Gun-fu.
https://www.youtube.com/embed/xSM_nz6gKOIThe best option is to never fight, unless your life or the life of a loved one is directly threatened.
Mixed martial arts. You don't know what you'll need
MMA is the most practical one. But i like Kung Fu in terms of aesthetics.
Projectile vomiting or peeing. Mark your territory
Or throwing Pooo
How far are you willing to take it.
Avoiding the fight is always the best option….
Shooting the other guy in the head.
Sucks if you left it at home, in a vehicle or worse.. drop it.
@dustybiker2 Or even worse still, end up going away 20 years for murder even though it was self defence!
Yeah. Oopsie.
@TommyMountainFigure Statistically speaking, I'm not the least bit worried about that.
@BoopBoopBeep The problem is and I mean no disrespect, prisons are full of people who aren't worried about that!
@TommyMountainFigure Respectfully, as career law enforcement, prisons are not filled with people who shot another in self-defense, so no I'm afraid you're misinformed.
@BoopBoopBeep. The laws must be very different in the US then.
In fairness to this discussion. It would be sticky explaining a head shot as self-defense. Not that it couldn't be done.

@TommyMountainFigure Yeah a lot of places here it's just assumed you had the firearm on you/within arms reach.

Yes. Okay. The close range idea did strike me as I sent this message. It is surprising how infrequently fatal a headshot is. Outside of Hollywood.
@dustybiker2 True, but it'll make you reconsider playing a secound round of FAFO.
@TommyMountainFigure Nor fully. There's incentive to not be a shitebag generally because you're not sure who is and isn't carrying.

This is true.
The best fights are the ones we avoid.
A good pair of running shoes
Knowing how to use a weapon.
Not fighting? Namaste
Military Jujutsu.
Air support.
of course italian boxing 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹🇷🇺
