I'm interested in getting a laptop but a lot of them say AMD Ryzen 5.
Does anyone use filmora 9 with AMD Ryzen 5?
Ryzen 5 is far far better tha intel i5. And in some cases, apparently even matches the performance of intel i7 (some series).
So you can use this as benchmark for your comparison. What is the current configuration you use for filmora 9? According to the website, the requirements are just 2 GHz processor and 8GB recommended RAM (for HD video). Ryzen has 3.9 GHz. Which is more than enough, if you buy a 16 GB RAM laptop.
Let me know if this will work out for you.
Thank you :) so if I got the ''HP Pavilion 15.6in Ryzen 5 8GB 256GB GTX1050 Gaming Laptop'' would it be alright for filmora 9?
If it has GTX1050, then definitely more than enough. GPU can take care of video processing requirements of Filmora 9.
But please keep in mind future updates. I am not sure how often you update Filmora. But with each updates, the system requirements increase.
Filmora however, supports GPU acceleration. So you can use it if it is getting slower in future updates.
Ryzen is a good choice for a cpu.
I think the OS is more important than the cpu you choose.
I would consult the Website and check what the developer/publisher of said software are recommending for optimal use.
Use a ryzen 5 at work and filmoraX. Works just fine! (Renders can be a little slow depending on the project but hey... it works!)
*at home have a ryzen 9.

I use a laptop with AMD Ryzen 5; I love this thing. The onboard graphics are not good enough for video editing though. I suggest shelling out the extra money for a computer with an actual graphics card.
I'm not a fan of AMD at all and I wouldn't recommend a laptop for video editing unless you're rich. I would recommend getting a cheap desktop and then upgrading the GPU with Nvidia. That's where the real power is: Nvidia GeForce.
Shoot! I use Filmora 8.3.5... I hope you can find some help!
