I pulled it out of my father in-laws house yesterday and it still works great. Does need new speakers though. They are dry rotten, nothing but a trip to radio shack can't fix

I remember these 🙂. My Dad had one at his house. One day he went to turn it on, and it didn't work. He was really upset. He called the stereo repairman to fix it. The trouble was he forgot to plug it in 🤷🏼♀️
That's the best answer. You win a MHO
I never owned one of those. I do remember my aunt had one in her living room years ago.
Well I think radio shack is out of business for one thing and my grandfather had something like that but it only played vinyl records.
We still have a small Radio Shack store still open here. Its the only one I know of that's left
Oh okay I just know all the radio shacks in my area are gone.
My grandfather had one of these. Last time i saw it was in 2004. You could play an LP record on it too.

My Mom and Dad had one of those when I was a kid. They're called console stereos! The one we had was a RCA with an AM FM radio with a turntable. It sounded awesome!!
I love restoring old radio gear.
Like this old hallicrafters

(Not my photo, internet search. But working on same model)
My parents had one of these. It was like a rowboat. Looking back, there was no real stereo separation because the speakers were always too close together.
I'm more impressed there's a radio shack still open, lol.
Yeah, their in one still open near me
My dad had a furniture stereo that was similar with a record player and 8 track when I was little.
Yeah I remember them like that and there’s no Radio Shack‘s at all on Long Island anymore
I remember those, even remember the one's that had TV's built in.
now those I do remember lolol
I remember but I've seen it in case holders not like that
Never seen one like that it looks like an antique.
Not antique yet. These were made from the 1950s though the very early 1980s
The one in the photo was made in 1979
