1.5 or 2 on average, if you divide my weekly income by 5. I have a small business, and my daily income varies a lot, and I might work (not counting office work) 3 days or 6 days a week on customer jobs - 7 days very rarely.
Some days, I make enough to buy a top-spec'ed iPhone 14, a few days I could buy 2, and other days I could only cover 1/3 or 1/2 the cost. Some days I make zero, even though I am doing work for the company. One of my jobs today was giving some customers a tour of another customer's yard where I did a bunch of work that is similar to what the first customers want at their house. I make nothing during that 90 minute meeting, but I will make thousands from the resulting job.
Kinda hard to say. Since I don't work an hourly job anymore. I guess it could take me anywhere from 8 hours to 3 days.
I've been thinking about switching to iPhone. I'd really like to be able to FaceTime people. Thought Android would come up with something that works well on both phones and have been waiting over 10 years, starting to feel stupid because my last phone that I really felt was worth buying was my s8, the s10 was alright at best and my s21 is kinda just what I feel like the s10 should have been.
Love Android, but iPhone seem more practical at this point.
I got my iPhone 12 for free just by adding a line to my current account. Even though the new iPhone looks nice and stuff, mine is still functional and that's all I need really.
Realistically though 1,399 CAD would take me about 2 months to earn, excluding other stuff I need to live, such as bills, car payment, insurance, etc.
A work colleague told me it's around 1 tsd € here - so for that, with deducted taxes already - around 14 days.. if I did the math correctly haha
But I would suggest for everyone to get Samsung phones lol

in my country iphone 14 costs around 3000 usd due to taxes and an average person here earns like 300 dollar. So basically an average person won't be able to comfortably afford it unless he/she spends his entire yearly salary on a phone. I am not an average person thought I am upper middle class compared to other people in my country but even me has to work for around 1 month in order to afford it.
by the way I have s22 ultra, costs close to iphone so I can always trade it if I want to...
This cell phone company sells iPhones on small payment plans and the rates are really cheap https://www.consumercellular.com You need to check this out for sure.
I don't work... I just say "Yo woman... buy that shit for me" and it gets done easier than trying to make that woman make me a sandwich. I'm going to play with my PS5 now and wonder why I don't have a sandwich.
Personally I think your better off Spending it on an Android Phone instead of IPhone, But you should be able work it out by yourself.
Calculate how much you get an hour then times that by how many hours you get a day then divide $799 by much you get a day.
I have an XR. Idc about new phones. Never been a fan of getting the latest. They all somehow turn obsolete and boring until the next one ☝️
lol true. i still have my iphone 6s plus :P
Outright? I’d be looking at about $1600 for the gb that I choose and the model. But I could have it in a two week pay period. Not that I would want it though.
Not counting taxes? Probably a week's time for me!
Now ask me would I actually buy that overpriced phone? 😂
My android suits me just fine, thanks. I don't jump on bandwagons
Depends on the wage, but at my place depending on what days I work (get paid extra for working past 10pm, weekends & public holidays), but just regular days would be 4 days.
First off, it's an iPhone. So if you make $20 an hour. 9 hours a day. Then it will be 1863 days. Once you almost pay it off, the next best comes out. They update yours, so now you have to buy the new one. Good luck.
I bought my iPhone 13 for $1 with a 2-yr contract at Verizon. I like it, it’s fast, sleek, and it slid off my roof and didn't break the screen - good product 👌
I don't work every day any longer. I work about 12 days a month now. Excluding my investment income, I guess I could buy 10+ iPhone 14s for every day I work. I am self-employed.
I ''need'' to work 0 (zero) days, because no one ''needs'' a ''i-phone''.
If some consumerists see that different... I can't help them, and I don't even want to :)
I would never waste my money on that product so none.
I've already worked plenty of days to buy it.
Like 4 days as an employee maybe? 1 day if I'm doing work for my business.
20-30 hours inclusive tax and social insurances
Without factoring in taxes, a regular 40 hour work week plus a day.
For that price, and with no taxes... I would need to work two 12 hour shifts.
Without my other expenses it would be a few days, maybe a week with all of the withholdings, taxes etc still taken out.
I bought an iPhone 13 last year so won't be upgrading for a couple years yet.
Based on the price at the time and my pay last year, about 2 days after-tax.
Don't do it mate , buy an old model. Like 2k video games same concept (99%) slightly different look (1%)
Even though you may make a lot of money you may not save a lot cost of living can easily come in your have. I would rather have a different plan or cell 😉
The price of "APPLE iPhone 14 Pro Max 512GB" in Turkey is 52,000 Turkish liras. The minimum wage here is 5500 Turkish liras. we can get an iphone in 52000/5500 = 9 months = 270 days.
Zero days because I don't give a fuck about those overpriced hunks of junk
Zero because I wouldn’t waste 799$ on a phone.
a phone that would cost the price of a mortgage? no thanks. i have an iphone, but it did not cost that much.
A few hours to a day if its slower then molasses on a cold winder day
oh woah buy me one too then
@threefournine i got you but you have to move to Miami first
Never buy new phones, buy ones that are 5 generations old unless the newer ones are on sale.
In USA:
Flipping burgers - 4-5 weeks
Corporate non managerial job - 2-3 weeks.
Strip and Lap dances: 1 day.
First of all why iPhone! , come buy myphone...
Just 200$
Or better get one pc for greater things😂😂
With my old job? Months.
With my new job? Maybe a few weeks
Well, I prefer android over apple, but it would take me a day and a half.
I could probably afford one after a month of doing medical billing and coding. Maybe less, but I'm not sure when I would get my paychecks.
This certainly is a great idea to view purchases as days of work. This is the best way for me to sell education so people can work less and make more.
Considering I live in Canada, my 5th mortgage payment and my life insurance should be able to cover the cost.
I’m currently a Spanish lector in my country. I earn 9$/45 min, it means that I’d be able do buy an iPhone after 1 month in my job if I didn’t have to pay rent and eat. :-D
Why? If you are into the iPhone You can get a new old stock 12 mini for 1/3 that price.
Do some math and figure it out.
How much do you make?
How much do you pay in tax?
I wouldn't buy that overpriced piece of crap
I make a little more than that every two weeks (paid bi weekly) but I don't like apple products.
It's depend on your monthly pay amount and saving...
Not long at all AT&T offers outstanding promotions
Don't buy it. Just finance and pay through your monthly bill.
I bought 13 this year, and I don't need a new phone and IOS 16.
Maybe I could hold the 13 till 2026 LMAO!
0 because I have no desire to have one... But seriously, that's about 4 days pay
Let see 3 years and lose a foot. lol. no it Around one thousands bucks but you can get some cheaper 400 or 500
With contract in 10 minutes full cash 1 month 7 phones..
Zero, I try to keep about 3 months salary in reserve for an emergency.
Zero days... I'd never buy an Apple product.
@JustiReno Why is it un-American to not buy something made by underpaid/overworked workers in China?
Wait are you saying that's why you wouldn't get an apple product?
@Telekinetic-Potato No, I don't like Apple's business model... charge an exorbitant price because they can, and force people to do things the Apple way.
Makes sense. That's a big part of why I never got interested in Apple until I was literally forced to use their computers
About 24 hours of work for me
Before or after taxes. ;) I might be there with you after tax, insurance and retirement savings are taken out.
To pay in full? Less than two days. Lol
I am not buying that expensive phone 😂
I’m waiting for the day an iPhone to not come with and iPhone
A month if we don't break any rules.
I’m a server/bartender so about a week lol
Is that Sebastian Stan?
Clueless, I won't own an apple product.
None, I would NEVER buy any Apple product.
About 4ndays but I don't want one
Zero, I won’t buy one!
Roughly 310 hours so about a month
Wouldn't buy it anyhow, my Motorola cost 1/5 of the price and caters to my needs
