There is no one system for electric cars. Tesla's production and charge system is very different from Toyotas or Porches, Volvo's etc etc.

You also can make your own electric car, using deep cycle batteries and your existing car instead, to save "resources".

Also, few manufactures other than Tesla and Jaguar use the cobalt heavy style lithium-ion batteries. Other use either the Nickel-ion or Sodium-ion styles, and there are many other alternatives.

As for charging, it's mostly an American problem America gets most of it's energy from fossil fuel. Whereas civilised and modernised infrastructure countries like Norway and Scotland get most of their energy from renewables.

Lastly the point of electric is not to shit on you street polluting, pickup driving bumpkins. Though it is a plus. Rather it's to cut down the deaths and diseases inner city pollution via fuel smoke is causing. It means fuckwits like you get to live a few more years before dying of lung cancer or getting shot by a local gang member.

In 12 years, 17 states are banning the sale of gas-powered cars. I live in one of those states. I live on the third floor of an apartment building. Even if I could afford an electric car, how can I charge it?

Lithium used in the batteries isn't mined in an ecologically friendly process either. Plus there aren't enough known sources to mine so either a lot of exploration is necessary or an alternat! e battery technology needs to be developed. There isn't sufficient lithium currently to provide electric powered vehicle replacement for all our current fossil fuel vehicles.

Then there is the problem charging all those vehicles on the current electrical grid. There is already a problem in California. The State want them charged at night.

On this pic is Glencore, the biggest cobalt mine in Congo. It doesn't differ to mines in EU or America and uses same types of machines. People you depict in your pictures are illegal miners who collect minerals with high cobalt and mangan content with their hands, because they can't find other source of income. If corporation close mines in Congo > ore supply chain decays > no one will buy minerals from illegal miners > those people will lose this income opportunity.

There are a lot of problems with electric cars. From conflict minerals to the waste they produce. Also at least in America only around 17% of power produced is from green energy so that means you are mostly charging an electric car on fossil fuels.

Im ok with my gas powered car tyvm lol.. Right now there aren't enough resources on the planet to replace all gas cars with electric. I imagine those place where gas powered cars become illegal to sell there will be some kind of black market where you can get them. If they made fusion powered cars or something like that it might change but right now electric cars are a novelty at best which are worse or the environment than gas cars.
