I didn't know it at the time, but I got a screaming good deal on the phone. I hated it so much that I now just use it as a TV while on the road. So a week later, I bought a Google phone. It's much better, but it's possessed by Satan. It randomly just calls people. And when my Google phone gets bored, it plays its favorite YouTube songs. And sometimes it opens the calendar app or the calculator app. And on occasion, my phone will open up Twitter to see what's going on.

Elon warned us of the dangers of artificial intelligence taking over. :)

I am utterly baffled as to why anyone would ACCEPT fingerprint-scanning technology being on their phones, let alone demand it. Basically everything you do on one of those things can be tracked and monitored by Big Brother Google or Big Brother Apple, and the PRISM leaks SHOWED us that they're perfectly happy to hand over that information to the government agencies spying on you.

Talk to any engineer you can find; they'll all go to any lengths they can to avoid "smart" technology.

My brother and cousin are both engineers, and they have smart phones. I'm not too worried about it. I've had to get fingerprinted for several jobs, and I just don't worry about things like that.

My last car had fancy technology, and I hated it. I'm in my apartment, and my fucking trunk opens. I didn't know about it until some guy knocked on my door. And when I was driving down the road, my fancy car told me I didn't have a passenger. Wow, that's fucking useful. I would never have known that had it not been for my smart car telling me.
My new car is not smart. I have to actually use a key to open it. And my trunk doesn't just open when it wants to.

I watched a video about a Microsoft concept idea. It was a gaming device attached to your TV.
When you came home it would recognize you by facial recognition and ask how your day was. It knew everything about you. It even learned who your friends were. The concept failed because people didn't want something like that. It was too creepy.

Google has technology that would knock your socks off. I have a "Google Home" and it's the equivalent to the Amazon Alexis. I love it, but they talked about making an advanced version with eyes.

Google: Yes, your neighbor, Bob, came in and stole it right after you went to work. It was at 8:32 AM.

I'm being dead serious. The coffee cup thing was the example they showed. They never chose to make this device, but they could, because they can. Now I might ask a question about this. lol

It's like when I take my clothes to wash them at the laundromat. Why does the screen on the machine have to look like that of a Black Hawk helicopter? What the hell is going on in there? Is it magic? Doesn't it just swish the clothes around in water and soap? Why do I have to put in GPS coordinates and adjust for altitude?
