Is MySQL better for future scalability of my social website I'm developing, or would MongoDB be more suitable?

The content will mainly be read-heavy and unstructured data like images, videos, and audio, but the relationships between them are somewhat complex (currently using MySQL in alpha stage); I intend to keep my platform in between Facebook and OnlyFans in terms of complexity.

I believe ScyllaDB takes the title for that as of today. It handles the massive amounts of discord contents.

ScyllaDB was designed for fast low latency response and scalability across several DB servers. I've had a look at it myself. I was impressed by it.

Ok nevermind, just found out it's NoSQL, but it's harder to learn and maintain compared to MongoDB (but offers better performance and scalability as you said).
