Can you buy PS5 games from a different country and play them?

I'm from Europe and I've seen that games in the UK are cheaper than where I'm from

Now my question is would I actually be able to buy a game from a PSN Store of a different country even though it has a different currency or are the games region locked or wouldn't it work because of the different currency?

PS. I can only pay with PayPal

You're going to have to Google each game individually. Some games have a code on the disc that says what country they're made to be played in and instructions not to play the game if it's in a blacklisted country.

Like for example a game might have a specific copy that only plays in Japan.

The laws around the world change and games have to be adapted to these laws.
