How do you change your screen color?

My e-mail background is black with white lettering. I can't see how to change it in settings. When I try and print something it will be the same. Black with white letters. It uses too much black ink that way. On my printing settings it says print in black and white, but I want black lettering on a white background. How do you do that? Nothing I've tried changes it. 🤔

For an iPhone-

Go to SETTINGS tab.

Go down to DISPLAY AND BRIGHTNESS tab.

There should be a choice of LIGHT (background) or DARK (inverts the background color).

Click on LIGHT tab.

Hit your backarrow < tab until you get back to your default start-up screen.

I imagine it would be something similar if you are on Android/PC based as well.

I don't use my phone for things like that. I'm talking about my desk top.

On my Apple, click on the APPLE ICON.
Click on SYSTEM SETTINGS.
Click on APPEARANCE (second item for me after GENERAL)
Click on LIGHT, or DARK, or AUTO, as desired.

If you are PC-based, there must be a similar drill-down to make the change. But I haven't run on PC for about 15-20 years, other than an old PC at our church library which is lucky it can boot up, so I defer to our PC-based friends of that is your case. Good luck.

I did have an Apple once, but they stopped supporting it after about 5 years. Then I bought a newer Apple, and same thing. And they were not cheap to buy. But, at least they didn't get viruses.

We never pay extra for Apple support. One of my sons-in-law is an Apple-based computer nerd for a living, so he can talk us through most problems, or do a hard-fix on them at Easter, Thanksgiving or Christmas. Yes, very virus resistant.

I'm talking about the different versions, like Tiger, Snow Leopard, etc. They get out of date and they don't have any new software being made for them anymore like they do for a PC. I found out they had plenty of stuff for PC but not much for mac.

That’s really strange, are you using dark mode on your phone or is this on the computer? It my be the my computer section on the desktop to change that if not in settings, sometimes I actually google or use YouTube to find out stuff like that

Just Yahoo. com email. But it is happening here too. I don't know what I did. I mean I like the white on black for G@G here, but not when I want to print something. Then I want black on white. Now sometimes it does do that, but lets say I take a screen shot here and I want to print the image out. Then it is the white on black.

Check browser add-ons, you have dark mode on

@islathewitch YES! I found the answer in Browser Essentials, which allowed me to lighten up colors and that. That answer was definitely enwitching. Er, is that really a word? 🤔

I went to the 3 dots in the right corner of my screen. Then go to extensions, and then to dark reader. that allows you to change colors, lighten or darken things.
