Do you ever email yourself?

Sometimes, I email myself in order to get an image or file from one of my devices to another. For example, I find a nice picture on my tablet and want to save it on my PC, so I send an email to myself with the picture attached on my tablet, then access the email on my PC and download the picture. After downloading it, I then delete the email... to conserve space. I do a similar thing if I find a link on my phone (a friend sent it to me in text) and I want to access it on my PC.

Do you ever send an email to yourself? If you do, would you please tell about it.

All the time but it's for my YouTube channel whenever I need a thumbnail for my video I'll find a picture crop it and enhance it on my phone, save a email it to myself then go to my laptop login my email download the photo to the computer's hard drive then I can upload it from there to my YouTube studio for the thumbnail

Surprisingly? Yeah, all the time.

For example, if I see something I want to look at again, read over when I have more time, or something I want to buy later, but don't want to forget about, I'll email it to myself so I have it for easy access.

Because at least that way it's in my inbox and I have access to it so it doesn't slip my memory... I know myself; if I don't email to myself, I'll forget about it later, lol

I don't email myself but I set up my phone number in text messages and put my name on it and whenever I see articles or photo, or just anything, I send it to myself in my text messages and it always works.
I even send songs from YouTube to my text message and have easier access to pull it up instantly instead of going through all the other motions.

This works great for just about anything.

Often as you do to move pics to different devices though my email is in common on all devices.

A common reason is I am on the phone getting info so I make up rough notes in an email. Also to do items.

My mouse pad is a sheet of A3 paper so I can make notes on it but coffee spills are a disaster. Emails are better for rough notes.

Yeah. I also text myself reminders and then don’t open the text so it stays an alert until i can do the thing i’m reminding myself to do. Ell oh ell!

I used to do that all the time. Before I discovered online portals for storing data - I would email myself information I gathered to store my data so that it does not get lost.

Yes quite often. People at work tend to send documents via WhatsApp that need printing so I have to email them to myself. I know I can use WhatsApp on the pc but I don't want my WhatsApp on the work laptop.

Yeah I find it's the fastest and easiest way to transfer files or typed text from my laptop to my phone

Yes, for the same reason that you do it. Transferring pictures and documents from my phone to my PC.

Better use a sharing app like OneDrive or a chat application with a sharing function, like Telegram.

Yes. Sometimes something comes to my personal email and I'll send it to the email address my wife and I share.
