While the Xbox one support a output resolution 1080p (720p supported), many games render at a slightly lower resolution of 900p with certain graphically intense games rendering as low as 720p. You really don't notice the game rendering a lower resolution as the Xbox one up scales (down scales if outputting 720p) everything to match the output resolution of 1080p. The main reason for games rendering as a slightly lower resolution then the output resolution is not to cause performance issues and slow downs while gaming. Last thing you want is FPS to drop to 10 with a bunch of lag.
So 900p on it isn't bad I have the original Xbox one 500gb
My RCA HDtv can do both 720p and 1080p that good?
Is your RCA TV native 1080P or supports 1080P? Most 720p TV's will accept 1080p signal but will change the resolution to 720p to match the LCD panel resolution. 900p isn't bad for Xbox one. As a side note not every single game will be 900p some will be higher and some will be lower, but in the end you won't notice a difference, as even 720p content looks pretty good on a 1080p TV.
It's a RCA HDtv LCD 32 inch 720p native I think
It has a built in DVD player on the side of it
My friend has a Xbox one S 1 tb and I have a Xbox one 500gb does it matter?
720p TV is still good. Do you have your Xbox set to output 720p or 1080p? Since you TV's native resolution is only 720p, id have the Xbox output 720p, that why game that are rendered at 720p aren't upscaled to 1080p by the Xbox then downscaled to 720p by the TV, plus for games rendered at a higher resolution, the Xbox will do a better job at downscaling them to 720p then your TV will.
They are both the same hardware wise, only difference being one having a larger storage drive. FYI, you can upgrade the storage drive in your Xbox
Ok my Xbox one is set to 1080p. in it's settings also I do see an increase when I switch my tv to 1080p on it a little
Then if you increase in quality then let your Xbox at 1080p I'm guessing your TV's LCD panel is slightly higher than 720. Old TV was advertised as having a native 720p resolution, but when I had my computer connected, the native resolution was slightly higher, not much higher, but was higher.
It does look more then 720p on most games I play
Awesome.
Ok should I care about Xbox one S?
Not really if you already have a Xbox one.
Thanks man i am at ease now
He said that he wouldn't touch his Xbox one if he had a series x
If you already a Xbox one and a non 4k TV, then the Xbox one s is pointless as there is really no difference in game play, only real difference is the one s is slightly smaller and slightly more power efficient, and supports 4k play back of movies and Blu-ray, then at this point, a 4k Blu-ray player is cheaper, smaller and more power efficient. If you're looking to buy an Xbox one, doesn't hurt to spend a little more for the one s, but if you already have a Xbox one, not worth replacing it with a one x in my opinion.
Or a one S
How are HDtvs to you?
Pretty good actually since a lot of streaming services still stream in HD. That said I no longer use my HD TV, as I recently upgraded to a larger TV that's 4k. Still kept my old TV for a spare.
I see I've had my HDtv for many years
I've had mine since 2014, wouldn't have upgraded, but wanted a bigger size and decided to just go with a 4k TV as they are around the same price.
Hey I love my HDtv the picture on it looks great
Awesome, no point in replacing something you're happy with. I was happy with the picture on my HD TV, just wasn't happy with it's size.
Mines a 32 inch HDtv
My HD TV is also a 32", my 4k TV is a 55 inch.
Cool I know my 32" doesn't look small
Looks pretty big
It is, comes in handy for watching TV without glasses.
What does?
Having a bigger TV, a bigger TV is easier to see without glasses, isn't much of a problem during the day, but it is at night when you wanna watch and don't wanna fall asleep with glasses on.
Mines bigger right?
32" TV is smaller than a 55", so that would make yours smaller.
Sounds like bullshit 970p doesn't even sound like an actual resolution.
I have Xbox one 500gb and in settings it shows 720p and 1080p
I meant 900p
