What are your thoughts on automatic door locks?

I think auto locks are a stupid invention. I get the idea behind them, but I actually think they have the opposite effect. I want to determine whether or not the door gets locked! I don’t want that determined for me!!!

They can be decent for rentals - means you don't need to switch out locks all the time. They can also be useful if you're not a keys person and hate handling keys and finding keys etc etc.

So it's more accurately a "keyless" system. Means one less item you need worry about having every day.

Personally I would be extremely concerned, and worried that in the event of an absolute emergency, just how the hell anyone can gain entry.
