Is it lame to have infinite weapon durability in palworld?

Im almost 300 hours into palworld. I've been doing a lot of the level 60 oil rig. Its what it sounds like. Its a big oil rig crawling with bullet sponged enemies. There is a locked chest that when you interact with it, an attack chopper boss appears. You have to beat that and then you gain access to the chest wich has good loot in it. So my weapons kept breaking like halfway through my run, and were ineffective. I would have to repair them wich would take an ungodly amount of recourses. I got so sick of it, I went into the games settings and set it to infinite weapon durability and gave the oil rig another go. It was boringly easy. I got a bunch of loot but it almost feels like i was cheating. I think im gonna increase weapon durability a little bit so they can still break but not as quick as before. What do you think?
