What state would you like to retire to?

I’d probably just retire wherever I have family but if I didn’t take that into consideration I’d probably retire in South Carolina by the beach. Florida sounds too hot for me.

Much of the south is as hot or hotter than Florida in the summer. Florida has a sea breeze... The difference is that the rest of the states in the south do get more defined seasons/winters where as much of Florida doesn't really get a winter fall/winter/spring all blend into one season with maybe a light overnight frost 2 or 3 times in the year.

To a state of sanity (mentally speaking). lol 😂 Probably the island of Kauai in Hawaii. I mean, the real estate there is (mostly) cheaper than where I'm living now, so why not. Plus, I think it would be neat to learn about and live in a different culture.

Anywhere south.. I cannot stay here in Wisconsin when I'm older. The weather is horrible in the winter. Somewhere warmer and quiet. Not like fckn Chicago. I go there often and it's terrible traffic and tollways! Tennessee? My uncle lives in West Virginia and likes it.

I think living in Miami would be nice. Or maybe Europe or China. I speak Chinese but cannot write it, but could hire a translator or lawyer for that.

I'd like to retire in SC or Montana. Just so you know, our beaches are HIGHLY overcrowded, and in all reality, the beach scene isn't great in SC. It's popular because it's halfway from New York to Miami (roughly), and a lot of snowbirds make the trip during the late fall/early winter to enjoy our beaches.

Oregon or Washington near the coast. Mild weather but not too hot or cold and just a beautiful area. Would like to take occasional trips to South Carolina or any state with beautiful beaches and take annual cruises and see the Caribbean.

I'd rather be hot than cold, so Florida- with no state income tax and near zero-gun control, was my choice. I've been here in Polk County for five years and it has been great!

I go back and forth between coastal Georgia in the winter and New England in the summer. Beaches don't matter to me, I'm more of a pool guy. Florida is too crowded in winter, too hot in summer, and too difficult to evacuate from hurricanes.

South Florida is hot. The rest is pretty typical. Although the ocean always cools it off a bit compared to say... Atlanta Birmingham.  Gulf Coast of Florida is my answer.
