If you were on vacation by yourself on a budget, would you stay in a $500 room with shared accomodations or private room with private kitchen n bath?

Room with private kitchen and bath: $866

I'm going on vacation by myself to Japan and i'm on a budget but I also hate sharing anything with other people, especially strangers. What should I do? and what would you do? The trip is going to be very expensive.

Since you clarified in the comments that this price is for a month. I'd get the private room. You can make that back by making breakfast for yourself each day. Rather than eating in a restaurant. Ultimately you'll save a lot of money with the more expensive room. If you make a lot of your own meals.

$500 a night to share accommodation? Absolutely not, I'd find something that was actually budget. Less than $150 a night.

Where are you staying? Is it a Ryokan or Onsen? You really shouldn't have to spend more than $100 US dollars a day for your room.
