Did you ever move to a place that had a distinctly different climate from where you're used to live?

I recently moved to the Melbourne area (Australia) from the Denver area (USA) and everyone looks at me funny because I wear shorts and a T-shirt when it's ~10 C outside.

I just moved to California 3 months ago and I am still struggling with the weather here. Despite not being the coldest state, I am yet to feel comfortable doing my normal routine (workout, cooking, cleaning etc). As someone who is acclimatised to a tropical weather (I am from Malaysia), imagine having to adapt to this climate. I asked my husband what is the temperature of summer here? He said in LA it can get as hot as 100 F. I said while that is indeed considered as hot for all of you here, my country DAILY temperature is around 95F. Now, I am all excited for the summer though I know it won’t last forever. I miss the weather in my country. I cannot function that well when I am cold.

I'm not saying that you won't always prefer what you're used to, but I will tell you that you will adjust to the temperature after a couple of years, so it will get easier for you.

No, I lived away from my city for some time but that city was also warm... actually warmer. So, no but I know after few years, I will move to a place like that so, I'm definitely going to shop prior to moving (out of India and when I'm old, I'll move to Manali, North India), it's going to be pretty cool/cold there. I like the thought of that since I don't like warm weather much, so I'll shop according to the weather there but the only thing I'm dreading is it's going hurt the bones I injured when I was younger, lol.

Yeah. Moved from NY to CA. Then CA to NV which was also very different.

I'm from California, where we get 2 weeks of below-freezing weather on average, and maybe an inch of snow every 10-15 years, and I lived and worked in Cleveland, Ohio for a year. We had several weeks of below 0F "highs" during that year, and 28 feet of snow that winter, so, yeah, it was definitely different.

Similar experience here. I went from the constant rain of Seattle to Victoria, Australia. I must say, I love the weather, though.

I moved from New Delhi (scorching summers and foggy winters) to Mumbai (moderate climate, mostly rainy). They wear cardigans when I don't feel cold at all!
