Do you have adventurous dreams?

Question

I feel like I live a 2nd life at night, I always have adventurous dreams.

Yesterday, in my dream obviously, as I am still injured, I went quad off-roading with my cousin and a brother, my cousin was driving and she was driving so fast, we flew over the railroads and a few moving trains. It was so exciting 🤣

Then we went to the sea and boated there, met our late grandpa (he was alive) whose boat was stuck by the rock and helped his boat keep sailing.

My cousin then drove me back home to China and dropped me by the movie set, where I seem to have been the main character.

I made some friends there, but don’t remember what the movie was about.

In the end, I got old and was telling my grandchildren, what a wonderful life I’ve had.

Then I woke up thinking I should go off-roading when my leg gets stable enough.

Do you have such adventurous dreams or am I the only weirdo?

I used to fly with the cadets when I was a teenager, long before I lost my leg. In my dreams I'm a pilot flying light aircraft around the world by VFR - that's "visual flight rules" which means under ten thousand feet and no radar to warn about other aircraft - which is more exhilarating than flying commercial.

In my dreams, this is my aeroplane of choice:

The DA-62 7 seater, twin engine with a range of 900 nautical miles at 230mph. It's a thing of beauty...

I used to hitchhike a lot. There is a tunnel that runs through the city. It has a catwalk that a pedestrian can walk on. There is one ramp that leads to the surface. and it is narrower thsn the tunnel and there is no catwalk. I ended up walking up the ramp and a big 18 wheeler with a wide load drove up the ramp and I got stuck between the truck and the tile side of the tunnel. I was turned into big red smudge.

Sometimes I have out of body experiences and fly in my dreams, but lately my dreams have consisted of me being in car accidents, and I feel like that’s the universe or my guardian angels warning me not to get too comfortable on the road (I drive a lot and I’ve got a metal foot)… lol it’s definitely a wake up call. It makes me more cautious…

Yes, I do. I had the same house for many many years in my dream and I moved to a new house about a year ago (in my dream). It's like I live another life and it continues from where it left off each night.

I have had many dreams that were considered crazy. One dream I had as a child, I did not think much of it, till years later as parts of that dream starting happening before my eyes. I remembered the dream more and more as things started happening in my life through the years that were in that dream.

I have had other dreams about places and people. I have had dreams that I know have not happened, but could happen in time. I have also had a few dreams that would make you think twice about your life.

The one I wrote about in a poem was actually three distinct dreams that were each 4 years apart. All of them were about the same subject. I wrote a poem about the dreams to put into words what feelings they invoked. I also wrote another poem that was the opposite of the one from the dreams.

When ever I want to work something out; I write about it. Either a poem, or a short story. Writing is my main coping mechanism.

Lately, my dreams have started becoming part of my waking memory. I am hoping that this will lead to lucid dreams in the future.

Last night I dreamed that I had an intruder in the house and, in my dream, I woke up screaming to my fiancee to call the police. I did wake up but apparently I was not screaming as my fiancee slept through the entire event. That was an adventure that I don't need.

I don't remember my dream from last night.

A few nights ago, I remember my dream. My father (who is dead) was in it and he and I wear on the island, trying to figure out how to get off it. I woke up before we succeeded.

My dreams are all over the place. Sometimes they're movie-worthy. I could be parkouring in an alien world trying to get away from monsters, or the protagonist or a superhero plot and saving people. It's randomly in horror settings too where man-bats are flying at me and clawing me or in an apocalyptic virus plot where I'm just trying to survive along with my family.

Sometimes. But I rarely recall them. It’s our subconscious doing night exercises. I believe this is why people say sometimes our dreams speak to us, recalling events of the past.

It’s odd how the events are distorted when it manifests, like our brains are telling us a story of its own.

Sheesh, I hardly dream honestly.. Or don't go deep enough into REM sleep to remember whatever I dream.. But I've had some... Adventurous dreams.. Yours de sound like a dream.. Random events happening.. LOL..
