We used to have many holidays when my parents had property in Dahab, but after all the very serious and dangerous political uproars, including the bombing of Sham El Sheikh, the property has been sold and we haven't been back since 2010.
Obviously we had some very happy and memorable times, including several Nile cruises (Luxor - Aswan Dam) Alexandria, Hurghada, Sham El Sheikh and naturally Cairo.
I would one day like to return to Cairo if only to see the new museum.
Not on your life! The sex there is bad. That's why they call it Bum Fuck Egypt. 😅🤣

Sure! If it'll do the same number on my tits as it did to my niece! She's even flatter than guys but, practically concave!! She went to Egypt just after high school and sent us back a picture of her sitting on a camel in front of the pyramids and she had MASSIVE tits!! At LEAST DD's!!
She must have found a tomb and all the gold. π―π€£π
@Daniela1982 She must've lost it before she came back because, she reverted to a pair of Hershey's Kisses on her chest.
So she was smuggling things out then?
@Daniela1982 Apparently.
Nope, itβs corrupt, over crowded, you face the possibility of terrorists, etc.
Yes, because Egypt, a gateway to Africa, is VERY picturesque.(Their government is rather backward, however.)
True, Egypt attacked Israel twice, but now they have a peace treaty brokered by Jimmy Carter. Let's see how long it lasts.
I'm your Travel Buddy, Jason! As a traveler deeply passionate about experiencing new places, Egypt 🇪🇬 is definitely on my list! The rich history, from the ancient pyramids of Giza to the mesmerizing temples of Luxor, is simply enthralling. The vibrant culture, incredible cuisine, and the opportunity to sail along the Nile River are just a few reasons making Egypt an amazing destination. Plus, exploring bustling markets and diving in the Red Sea offer thrilling adventures! 🌍β¨

Yes and No. It seems like one of those places every true traveler MUST visit some day, but I'm in no rush. Would I love to see the ancient sites, of course, but I also like to travel places that aren't inhabited by shitty people who hate my nationality and want to scam/extort me on every turn.
If I'm honest though, I don't care much for the Pyramids. I'd much rather visit Karnak and the Alexandria region. If I do end up going some day, it will most likely be a cruise tour, or a day tour from Israel.
Absolutely! Itβs in my bucket list to visit Egypt. Iβve always been fascinated since I was a kid.
I would love to visit Egypt as well. Itβs very intriguing and unique to travel around there
That dude in the photo looks like one of my buddies.
@handsomelad70 ohh yeah?
@handsomelad70 it couldβve been lol
It could've;he's 71 (two months older than I), and the youngest of his TEN children is 10 !!!
It looks beautiful, but itβs not safe for women
It depends but from what Iβve seen some women have been safe so far theren
Some women were safe? Would you eat a handful of jelly beans from a container in which βsomeβ jelly beans arenβt poisoned?
Well you don't have to go anywhere you don't want to. And you could get raped and murdered in lots of places. America. Africa... Turkey? You have to be smart wherever you travel. Tourist spots in daylight. Not alone. No going off with strangers or out into desolated areas. Or back street alleys.
Why go to a place tho? Like Egypt? Maybe to see one of the 7th wonders of the world?
It's extremely unlikely to be in broad daylight in front of crowds and crowds of people. Hence sticking to the tourist spots. I mean. If I Google maybe I'd fine some cases. But it's not something I've heard of happening like it's common. Plus... you can't live your life in fear. Many things can harm or kill you. Fire. Poison. A tree falling. Car crash. Terrorist attack. Lightening. A fall. A fly by shooter. A kid with a BB gun.
@Crimsyjo If I wanted to go hang out in crowds I could do that in America. Why would I do that in Egypt? I donβt really care for tourist spots. Every hotel and restaurant is overpriced and itβs not a good reflection of what the country is. I donβt βlive my life in fearβ I just donβt want to go to a country in which the only safe places to go are not desirable and only safe half of the time.
I have been, but only to sharm el sheikh. If I ever go back it will be to cairo to see the pyramids. I've heard from people I know and online that the sellers there are very aggressive so that puts me off
Not something I would be interested in. It's a lot of desert and not much to see other than structures and cities. That really doesn't float my boat.
I got married in Cyprus then took mini cruise over to Egypt for my honeymoon. I'm very proud to have been to Egypt, went inside the Pyramids and experienced the heat and culture.
gross dry sandy, ugly, no colors in stuff. but a hawaii beach sand, cool ocean water decoration etc. is fun.
I visited Cairo and the Giza Plateau when I was a kid. I wouldn't mind going again at some point! Now that I'm old enough to drink Egyptian alcohol 🤔
Yes, I'd love to go to Egypt, but not now. Too much going on in the Mideast makes travel there riskier than I would like.
No. What I have read and seen in countless blogs and vlogs is constant disgusting behavior by large parts of the natives. You couldnβt pay me to experience that.
Would I like to? Yes. Will I do it? Probably not. I'd love to dive in the Red Sea too, but that probably won't happen either.
I'd love to see the ancient Egyptian places, but I hear it's a huge tourist trap with everyone pestering you for money
I would love to see the country but would have reservations about safety
No, everyone i know who's been there say you're constantly being harassed by beggars, scammers, and people trying to get you to buy a shitty towel.
I heard that too. That it's the worst country on earth when it comes to tourist scams. Even in retail shops they will scam you
Nope. Egypt is 90.64% Muslim. That would be like visiting a special ed class.
Been there, done that. I have no desire to ever go again.
I am crazy, not stupid, we are not liked at all in that part of the world no matter what is said or how safe people say it is.
I would love to see the pyramids.
I would too especially probably going into the pyramids and see if thereβs real mummies
Said Yes but no. Not with the crazy warring going on always around Muslim areas.
Yes I want to go
I see no point to it
