Been many times as my parents once owned property in Dahab... Sadly sold a long time ago amidst all the political upset and unrest.
Would love to go back once more just to visit the new Cairo museum.

  I loved it there even though i was advised not to go there due to safety issues. I took my chances because i believe there are safety issues in most places in this world. I live in the US and we are averaging shootings each week nowadays. I found the people very friendly, very polite, and what i was most impressed with was how well-informed they were about the entire world and not just their own country. I did go see the historical places there with a tour and it was okay. Tour guide spoke way too much and was kind of boring. I had their tea which is very strong but tasty. It was very hot when i was there 5.5 years ago in late August, very hot. Contrary to what the travel agents may tell you, make sure not to go there during Ramadan (Muslim holiday) Enjoy your trip
