How bad are mosquitoes where you live?

I live in the South East of France, and mosquitoes are a common site. I can't think of a single summer where there haven't been any.

This year, however, has seen an absurd amount. We're in October and there are hundreds of them every day.

Plus they're the worst kind, tiger mosquitoes. They sting you several times and the bites are extremely uncomfortable.

We get the odd one buzzing around the house at night that hides the second you pick up something to swat it with. If your out in the evenings near water or vegetation your pretty much guaranteed to be a meal.

I think in new york city they all choked from pollution.

But once i got many bites and guess what?

When i went to pharmacy they had sold out all the itch cream kuz hundreds got bit.

Very few actual mosquitos, I think. But the damn fruit flies, flour moths and other small flies are annoying as hell.

Its only the female that bites , horrendous little mothers there in Thailand especially in rainy season.
