Why didn't the remaining British colonies preserve their colonial history as well as French or Dutch islands?

The only exception is Bermuda. But the British islands in the Caribbean have very little to offer in terms of history. And what little they have is being neglected

Some locals on Grand Cayman managed to save part of their fort from being completely leveled by developers. And Cayman has only within the last couple decades reconstructed some of their historic homes
