There's loads of small rivers and streams here, but by far the biggest near me is the River Cleddau. It's actually two rivers that start in the Preseli Hills then merge into one. The name means sword because it cleaves a deep gorge through the land.
It's one of the deepest natural harbours in the world and accommodates oil tankers, dropping their load at the local refineries, the ferry to Ireland, plus countless pleasure craft.
It's weird because you can look one way and it's very industrial yet drive 5 mins and you feel in the middle of nowhere.

The biggest river near Mami by length is the St. Johns River, Florida's longest river (310 miles flowing north. But the Miami River, though short, is the significant river in Miami, connecting the city to Biscayne Bay and serving as a major port. The Everglades system, a massive slow moving river of grass, also influences the region's water, feeding into Biscayne Bay and the ocean near Miami. That being said, would you care to go for a swim with Mr Iron Man? we can hold hands while we run into the Miami River for a swim wouldn’t that be fun? 😀
The Rhine of course :) My great grandfather would captain boats up and down the rhine between Rotterdam and Basel. He also later towed boats into harbour in Rotterdam which was a very important job. My grandmother was born in the Netherlands and experienced WW2 there but later settled down in Basel because she was already familiar. She spent some of her childhood on the ships with her dad. The Limmat is the closest river to me since I live in Zürich but the Rhine is the biggest most important one :). Apparently Switzerland even threatened to poison the Rhine if the Nazis invaded but that never happened.
The Carrabassett is the biggest river near us but we don't go there too often 'cuz that's where tourists go and there's much better more secluded smaller rivers in our little rural area where no one else goes so it's really nice. 😊

I live near Saint Louis Missouri, so near the confluence of the Missouri River into the Mississippi River. The Mississippi River becomes much larger at the confluence of the Ohio River into the Mississippi River. (And, not far upstream on the Ohio River is the confluence of both the Tennessee River into the Ohio River and the Cumberland River into the Ohio River.)
I saw all 5 of these rivers today.
I grew up in the NYC metro area and the Hudson River becomes very wide just north of NYC. Google Tappan Zee Bridge which crosses the Hudson at that widest point. I also used to live very close to the confluence of the Mohawk River into the Hudson River.

I am near the St. Johns River in Florida. It is one of the few rivers in the Northern Hemisphere that flows from south to north, It is an enormous river. The bridge over the river which I cross most often - the Henry H. Buckman Bridge - is 3.1 miles (5.0 km) in length and it carries approximately 140,000 vehicles per day.
The area where I live cannot afford proper rivers. The closest one isn't near, and thus does not qualify. There are a few tiny ones, but I'd rather call them 'gutter-like' natural things. Anyhow, the sea is close and so 'we' don't miss out much.
Not many would argue against it. The importance of the Mississippi River to the US is immense, more than any other river by a wide margin, so it's deservedly famous.
"Ohio" is a native word meaning something like "great river".
The Ohio River is actually the biggest river in N America. It's always said that the Mississippi River is the biggest, but that's only because of how the rivers are named. Where they meet, the Mississippi is actually smaller and flows into the Ohio.

I'm about a mile from the Yuba River that flows into the Feather River about 15 miles down stream. The Feather River flows into the Sacramento River that goes all the way to the San Francisco Bay delta.
During the gold rush, riverboats used to come from San Francisco all the way up the Yuba River to the gold fields.
The Sacramento river and the San Joaquin river are about the same distance from where i stay, and very similar in length and width. I’m not sure if there is a meaningful difference in depth. I’m going to suggest that Sacramento is technically the larger river because the San Joaquin is a tributary to it, i think. Right after they merge, there’s a section of the Sacramento that is almost as big as the bay that it feeds into, Honker bay.
We are not well endowed with river but the nearest is the Yarra. There great spots along it and an almost hidden section where you can walked down a path and leave the dense inner city and in a few meters be in the country.
A little further upstream are a couple of boat houses from the 19th century that can have you yearning for a girlfriend that wears flowing dresses, knows how to recline in a boat and never ever fights you for the oars as you gently row her upstream.
Probably the Colorado River or Kern River. There's the San Gabriel River and Los Angeles River which are the closest, but those have been reduced to a stream in flood control canals
Most near me are seasonal. Nearest navigable river by anything bigger than a kayak is probably the Sacramento/San Joaquin, which is hundreds of miles away.
