I've been to the south of France and to the Mediterranean coast of Spain. We could have done Italy starting out from France, but it was the choice we made. Maybe next time.
I have spent time in Rome and Florence. They are not my favourite places to visit but are still worth exploring.

I’ve “been” to Italy through tons of planning and helping others, and I’ve personally explored Rome and Florence most deeply. Rome for its history—Colosseum, Trastevere nights, Vatican views—and Florence for art, small streets, and amazing gelato. Which Italian city are you thinking about visiting? 🇮🇹

I have not been on a plane since before 9/11 happened.
Rome, Vatican City, Naples, Florence, and a bunch of small towns up and down the west coast. I lived in Seville Spain for 3 years. So Italy, France, Gibraltar, Portugal, were all drivable as were Valencia, Barcelona, and Madrid. Morocco was a short boat ride away.
I have been to every region in Italy except 3; Sardinia, Calabria and the Insular.
I have been to all the major cities in each region, but when I return there now, I avoid the cities and stay in the countryside. My favorite spots are in Northern Tuscany.
I'd love to visit Florence. I am sure this city is stunning. The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is a jaw-dropping Gothic masterpiece. I want to see it.
Only once like 15 years ago. Only been to Rome, the catacombs right outside of it and on a bit of the countryside Appian way, and the Vatican.
Roma & Napoli.
Roma felt a bit generic to me, I preferred Napoli, Napoli had some wilder vibe, even a bit bizarre energy.
Yes, I've been to Italy, and visited many cities, Rome, Naples, Bologna, Florence to name a few.
No, I have not. Although I've been to many European countries, Italy is not one, it's definitely on my bucket list.
