I said it once and I'll say it again: Hindsight is 20/20. Everyone's saying what should've been done and what could've been done but it's so easy to make those claims once something has happened. At the time of the event, killing the gorilla was the most logical choice to make. The zoo couldn't afford to try all these other outlandish efforts. They had to make a quick decision and they went with it.

No one just falls into an animal enclosure at the zoo. The always have it set to where you'd basically have be trying to get in there. This boy obviously was and now because of the irresponsibility of his parents an animal has lost his life

Nothing I didn't already know, 9 times out of 10 when a "male" of the species is engaged in that scenario it's dominance but if it's a female she's most likely protecting them.

It's sad and tragic but necessary.

Yeah if your kid gets picked up by a gorilla you really dropped the ball as a parent. I agree with the zookeeper. She has a very logical approach.

It's ironic that when a group of humans come together, we are apes. Instead of hollering and yelling at the gorilla, everyone should have tried to be as quiet as possible. You're only gonna agitate the big fella

I would agree with the zoo keeper but disagree with one statement you make - I put the vast majority of the blame for the incident rather than the parents - If the enclosure was secure enough to keep a 4 year old out Harambe would be still alive.

Nice take and nice explanation from the zookeeper. I still think that the world gone mad , crying over a lost gorilla. Yes it was a sad incident but RIP sighs and shrines and protests over this is a step too far.
